  • I love this piece... so much... and @muffinsarelife1 I agree with you, but only about the beginning and later on when that musical idea is repeated. I like to take it up to that speed towards the end. I also tend to use the pedal a lot for this..... is that bad...? lol

  • I heard so many variations of this piece... Some play it slow with the notes not being chopped off but this artist does a lot. It doesn't really matter, it's all Debussy.

  • Ah, I don't know, that kind of music doesn't touch me.

Even some song on nintendo and super nintendo are more touching, overwhelming... and we are talking about little midi sound 8-bit.

That piece sound like someone playing piano very well, and that's it.

I guess I will always prefer Chopin, it doesn't matters how hard it is or if he is a genius or not... his music simply get through my hearth, my emotion, me as a whole

I couldn't say the same here but this is only my personal view point.

  • @WayofLiving1

    lmao

  • 5 idiots. 7 if you count flarbton and tecno98.

  • WAY too fast.

  • I orchestrated this for full orchestra for my final orchestration project. It was pretty challenging, but really fun!

  • @iceflame5 it should be amazing!

  • I am studying both, and this one seems harder.

  • this one is more difficult than the first one because i studied the first one

  • what?? this one is easier than the first one?? can't believe it! (i'm studying the first at the moment)

  • I love the ending. It's such a fun yet gorgeous sounding piece.

  • i think it sounds btr F-FF at 2:02 the way he played it as opposed to Debussy indicating P.

  • is this more difficult than Arabesque n.1?

    can someone tell me please?

  • @KeiraLively Yes this is a little more difficult than Arabesque n. 1

  • Actually, the second one is easier than the first one even though it doesn't look like it. The second one is faster but in the first one, there are difficulties of rythme.

  • @Kookookachoo533 good lord i can barely finish learning arabesque no.1

  • No one could recompose something similar to this. Even if it was slightly same, no one could do it. These composers are geniuses! We should admire them..

  • I will be playing this song for my examination but I am still not clear about the 2:18 part. Do we need to make a new speed for 2:18 part? I.E: from 104 to 88. ^^"

  • @Selinayumi986 its unfortunate that i didn't see this comment until a month later... meno mosso is less movement, a different tempo entirely... you were right... around 104 to 88

  • I love it. I prefer it to the first arabeque which is too slow. The second one is joyful. It's like birds singing.

But its less famous than the first one. I usually prefer unknown pieces than known ones.

  • @JohnRift lol hipster alert

  • this is beautiful

  • This sort of reminds me some of Gottschalk's pieces.

Let's try to just stop arguing about the piece and just enjoy Music as it should be enjoyed.

  • 90% of youtube commenters on classical piano songs either:

    A) Could never dream of playing the song

    or

    B) Think they they ALONE are right when it comes to an INTERPRETATION.

    or

    C) An unfourtunate mixture of the two. (This is usually about 99% of the 90%)

  • okay people listen up. This is actually the correct tempo, if you have ever listened to the original. Also there is not supposed to be much pedal, actually quite little, hence the staccato's. So how about if you don't know what you are talking about you leave this musicians wonderful version of this song alone. It was very good and done correctly

  • 0 people are stupid

  • @thegatto97 Someone had to ruin your comment.

  • @thegatto97 1 person read your comment.

  • difficult to catch that colorful feeling, which is so good here.

  • @flarbton @techno98 FAIL comments. Ciccolini was a professional pianist who focused on Erik Satie and Claude Debussy, you morons!

  • this is too fast!

  • @lapreciosa852010 I don't want any lectures, and by the way @tecno98, Aldo Ciccolini did tempo rubato only.

  • @flarbton @tecno98 FAIL comments. Ciccolini was a professional pianist who focused on Erik Satie and Claude Debussy, you morons!

  • This would sound more soothing if the tempo were slower. Excellent Arabesque.

  • don't like the phrasing at all

  • Damn it would be so much better if it had sustain...

  • @tecno98 fail comment

  • @xanjamanuo I'm not saying the person played it bad. It's excellent, but it seems like there isn;t much sustain to make the notes connect more ya know?

  • @tecno98 probably because of all those staccatos in the score that would be inaudible in case he "connected" all the notes with pedal instead

  • @tecno98 the reason I say "fail comment" is because this piece has staccato markings EVERYWHERE. it's supposed to sound like that. :>

  • very good. also for mental training!

  • Debussy was such a genius. I'm loving the 16th note trills.
