  • LOL its cool I got 10 P regalis off Rob C very cheap good deal he hooked me up, very cool little baby pokies

  • Love the concept of these videos but I think it's the first time I've seen a chalkboard since elementary school, lol. Powerpoint man, it's the coolest thing for presentations.

  • @candyraver69

I know, but as I'm in university to be a high school teacher, so got to fit in

  • @Jon3800 just had to tease ya, your writing really does remind me of some of my old professors and my own (nobody can read it), but hey that's a sign of intelligence, right? That's what my dad always told me anyways. :P

I do love the vids. Amazing collection I am noticing as I watched more and more of them. Enough to make any T enthusiast jealous. I need to post a vid of mine someday, though my collection is pathetic next to yours. Glad I happened across your channel :)

  • I Plan on buying 8 baby P regalis off ROb C.. gunna order em soon ^& get my Roaches!! cant wait!!! 8 is definitly enough for a female... i wont get 10 because that is truly OVERKILL!!!! awsome Pokie.. sucks Pual Becker SENT ME a P STRIATA,... its a FEMALE thankfully..ordered P regalis off him though

  • why is P smithi cheaper? then P metallica?? if SMithi is rareR?

  • @ultum4tegunz

if you know basic economy, the more demand for the species but less supply, the more expensive it will be..

In layman's terms P.metallica, as you probably KNOW, are incredibly high in demand because of the blue color, hence more people want them which jacks up price.

P.smithi is rarer and not enough demand hence cheaper. ALSO, factor in how many a dealer imports the same species. If you're importing 10 P.smithi, they'll be $170 each, if you only had 2, then it will be $300

  • what size do P regalis get that band?? do males and females both get it?

  • @ultum4tegunz

the band gets fully developed at the 2.5-3'' mark. Both male and female have this. If you need confirmation check the May 8th P.regalis mating attempt video I suggested to you earlier.

  • @Jon3800 what other T looks exactly like regalis without the band? my T is 4.5-5" yet looks female and has no band??? I ordered from PUal becker he must have mixed that T up or something. O well P regalis is cheapest pokie there is. so not much of a big deal i guess.

  • @ultum4tegunz

You don't know all your pokies? You know me for more than 2 years now. I guess I didn't do a good job teaching you then :(

I made at one specific detailing vid covering every single pokies species in the hobby (watch?v=pJY6LRHL0jA), yes even the rare hanumavilasumica. I highly suggest watching it, because you have given me no info on if your specimen has yellow warning legs. Could be striata (if the carapace is dark), pederseni (if no yellow legs)

  • @ultum4tegunz

or fasciata if the carapace/abdomen has a different pattern. Just have a look at the video, it's the BEST video you will ever find on any internet site or even the T bible book about deciphering pokies. Paul mixed up your T because he's now in serious trouble. If you haven't heard already from Arachnoboards and Google searches, Paul has been caught smuggling Ts. There's court documents stating them.

  • Hey jon

I was thinking about getting a Indian Oranamental Tarantula.

i have been keeping a Haplopelma minax.

i love the look of the indian but do u think i am ready for one.

    Thank olly :)

  • @F1Ruse

yeah you should be.. but have you dealt with arboreals before?

  • @Jon3800 Erm no just Haplopelmas

  • @F1Ruse

it's up to you...but in my opinion, and you don't have to follow this, I would get something like P.cambridgei (Trinidad Chevron) or A.versicolor (antilles pinktoe) first so you can get a feel for arboreal species as they're completely different from terrestrials. Arboreals are lot more faster than your Haplo.

  • I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Thanks so much for your informative videos. Your YouTube page is the first place I go when I need to know something. In this case, I'm planning on ordering a P. regalis and a P. striata this weekend, because I think I'm ready to take the plunge. This video told me so much! Thanks!

  • Thanks for all the info

  • @Jon3800 Dude that sucks that you guys in Canada have to pay $50 for a 10gal tank. The Wal-Mart here in Las Vegas has glass 10gal's for 11$, which is probably less than you guys pay for KK's up there. Is there a glass shortage up north or what?

  • @SpiderShane1

everything is just expensive here...I used to get cheap enclosures from walmart, but its too bad they closed off their pet department.

  • how would you rate p. miranda thats my favorite pokie

  • do you have a favorite T or are they like your children as in which you cant pic a favorite

  • @codyhinkle91

P.bara "subfusca" lowland. P.miranda is my 3rd favourite

  • Zelda is a P. Regalis?

  • @gobackto82

    yup

  • @gobackto82 Sorry, I thought you were talking about Xena.

  • I think it would be awesome if you wrote a book.

  • @smartpants6

Lol perhaps when I have time...but I like videos tutorials...you can learn so much

  • Cool video! I'm still not going to get any PPoecilotherias though haha

  • Great video as always Jon!!!! Here's one for you, how long do you leave it after feeding before you go in and take out the food boluses??? I have a G.rosea and she always seems to be a little edgey the day after feeding and won't hesitate in chasing the tweezers when she senses the vibration of the bolus being picked up. Despite being all sweetness and smiles, she's a little madam!!! No warnings or postures, just hits it lol!!! Although lets me in to change her water Hmmm, typical wierd rosea!

  • @YearsOfDecay

I usually pull out uneaten prey 2-3 days after I feed them

  • Great video Jon! Did you see any videos when people breed them on their hands?!

  • I mean he

  • Wow did you see the video of robc's ornata bite review it has me kind of nervous to get one. And be posted it on my birthday.

  • @daryl1201

yes I did. I always knew that P.ornata were always very defensive

  • Hey Jon, I got my first P. regalis from Tarantula Canada this week and the 1/2 inch sling costed me $40, just to let ya know. P.s. I love your videos, I look forward to seeing them. Keep doing what your doing (:

great video as always, jon. alwasy enjoy your pokie vids :)

  • Cool thanks for posting!

  • very good video jon. keep them cumin.

  • What poki has the most potent venom?? And I love how stocky Zelda is compared to other t's. And how much do mirandas cost

  • @daryl1201

they all have similar venom. Miranda slings go from anywhere between $60-150

  • @daryl1201 paul becker (petcenterusa(DOT)com) has some slings for $49, 1.5 in juvie!!!

  • LOVE THE VIDEO :) added to my fav list. \m/

  • do you think it's to soon to try and sex the 10 rufilata's that robc sent me? there about an inch?

  • @maybe2243

too soon...wait till there at least 2-2.5. should be sexable

  • Great video Jon, I only have one pokie atm the moment and thats a P. regalis sling :) But I also want to get a P. mettalica and miranda lol Oh I just uploaded another feeding video if you have some spare time. No GBB in this one though as hes in premolt :)

  • i got my first P. metallica today! :) 1,5 inch beauty.

  • @Tarantulife

    awesome

  • Also, as Silweror said, do you plan on covering Avics anytime soon, I would like to learn more about them, especially Versi.

  • @AlexRC113

very soon. Avic Avic is my next video

  • P. Onatas are sooo freakin' beautiful!! I'm not ready for one yet, but I will be eventually. I can't wait to start getting Pokies, but I'm gonna play it smart and pace myself.

  • great vid jon, i bought a tigrinawesseli sling today, pretty nice ;)

  • Great Jon..you made me look into arboreals :D could you please make a mythbuster vid on the Avic avic?

  • @Silweror Everyone has their opinions based on their experience. Jon3800 n I don't agree on this, but I like my G. Pulchra (plural) and G. rosea much more than my Avic Avic. My Avic. avic. is generally sweet, but I hate how they shoot their poop at you, how quick they are, and that she loves to jump. I went on others recommendation for Avic avic, and I'm not happy with them. To each their own, plus each spider is different (as people of course). Maybe you won't get one like mine! LOL

  • @Silweror

that will be the next one

  • @Jon3800 great im looking forward to it ;)

  • You make really interesting videos! Keep up the good work ;)

    P. regalis is a great looking T!

I own a L. kluig at the moment, but I have a feeling that my T collection will increase ;) There are so many interesting T's and you do a great job telling us about them. Thank you!

  • @martinkv81

Thanks, L.klugi are awesome species...I picked up a sling and its awesome
