thanks to clear i am incapable of streaming any sort of video or load any webpages well. you pay for "UNLIMITED" speeds, they CAP you when you use it to "much". this is pathetic. Congratulations Clear, you have lost a customer. I will NOT recommend this to anyone
@youngmasterfung yes, you can. I have been using it for months now with no issues in Southern California.
I will say that their customer service is absolutely terrible. They pick up the phone right away but it's outsourced to the worst company ever so they take hours to answer a simple question and even then they're always wrong. I dread it when I have to call them. They sounds like robots and keep repeating everything I say. It's atrocious.
The device is a total battery hog but great no less..
Do you still get such consistently high speeds after 2 months? Because I saw lots of people say that the first few days or weeks it's very fast so you shouldn't return it, thne after that it slows down dramatically was that the case in your experience?
Thanks a lot for the review. I actually ordered this device today and I am receiving it tomorrow. (they offered me free overnight shipping) I got pretty nervous seeing all the negative reviews on the company online so you calmed my nerves a bit! Thanks bro!
The coverage is soooooooooooooooo small that Clear reps refuse to show the coverage maps. The coverage is soooooooooooo small that a person in a covered city can walk from one end to another of the coverage border.
Thanks for the review! I am actually considering Clear (despite all the negative comments on the web). Have you streamed video from it? If so, how was it?
Upgrade path for current new device to Apollo is: return old device, pay $49+9.95 shipping. Hmmm. They get a relatively new device for $49, shipped. Not a great UG path for users.
i have a clear spot device and when i play online games such as garena i get really bad connection even tho my router is right next to me.So idk if the apollo clear modem will be even better do u think? srry 4 my bad english
@multiJOKER567 if you get 4+ bars on your current modem then I think the Apollo will be great for you. But I don't think it would improve reception if you have poor reception now. Hard to tell though. I still like it almost 10 days later. But there are spots near town that are completely dead. I will say that if I get 2 bars I get at least 3 down which is good enough for most traffic.
