So I'm curious, do all these guys belong to an actual tribe-for-hire and what language are they speaking?

The characters seem more or less as I imagined them from the book. Pretty well acted.

Otherwise, I still prefer the flick "Cannibal Holocaust", from the short-lived, little-known Italian exploitation--jungle savages--genre that ran from the late seventies through the early eighties.

The indians in this scene were also in Medicine Man with Sean Connery and Lorraine Bracco.

The lady with the sunglasses yells at Lorraine when "the party" returns from the meeting with the "medicine man" (where Sean gets into a stick fight with him) and the man with the spear at 0:34 speaks some broken english throughout the movie. The others may have also been in it but they didn't have any parts (except maybe the young woman HERE was the woman who was breatfeeding at one point; Kalana)
