SUPERMAN VS. HAWKMAN AND HIS CLONES!!! Sort of. Maybe they should have had Superman distract the hawkmen whilst the team of buglers that seem to follow him everywhere could free Lois and Henderson. Did he get the ability to fly in this episode now?
I remember me and my brother watching these Superman shorts when we were little. The last I saw these episodes they seemed a lot longer that is until today i noticed they 7 minutes or less.
@626joshua Yes, it is pretty amazing how well they managed to include everything to 6-10 minutes. No complicated emo stories, no forced horse crap and other stuff just to extend it unnecessarly.
This cartoon was trying to warn the public about a real danger in our world. When I watched this it sent chills down my spine. Read into reptilen beings.
"No one would ever believe it." Well Chief, did you really believe the guy based on his oral tale and his map?
I found it hilarious that this guy could just wander in and ask the Daily Planet to sponser his expedition. Anybody could have drawn a map and taken some pictures of caverns.
Why didn't the guy just go to some renowned archaeologists or explorers instead?
The offices of the Daily Planet are visited by a man named Henderson. He tells the assembled that he is an explorer, as is his father, who has been missing for some time. Henderson wants to launch an expedition into the deep, mysterious caverns that his father was exploring when he disappeared, and he wants the Planet to finance it. Reporters Lois Lane and Clark Kent join the adventure.
They move like real people, they look like people though if you check the cartoons from now, they look like alians, some have square, mellon, some have 4 eyes :S but this cartoon (superman) owns the cartoons of now
Very true.....estimates were that one of the Superman cartoons ran 6-7 times as much to make as a Popeye cartoon, and up to 8-9 times a Betty Boop. Little wonder only 17 were made.
You are comparing cartooons made in the same era with similar techniques. If you compare those with the ones made after Hanna Barbera´s creation of limited motion technique the differences are even bigger.
We had to wait untill Dini/Timm´s Batman TAS to see something close to Fleischer´s Superman in terms of quality animation.
@teddyrocker Best animated superhero shows? This one, the Batman animated series (the one which had the animated movie Mask of the Phantasm of course, and the Dick Grayson Robin, not the cheap crap that came afterwards), and for some reason I really like Teen Titans. That last one doesn't really make sense though.
Ya now for a paper that does the news for a city constantly under attack by giant robots and shit you would kinda think they would be more accepting of the story.
This cartoon creeped me out for some reason. :S

I saw this one once. My cousin had a collection of classic Dave Flescher-cartoons. This was like an intro.

the style of animation they use is rotoscope: which means that the movement are traced from a film to make it more realistic.
danplaz 3 years ago
Ok, Thanks, but why is that changed? because R fantasy :P
zombie19844891 3 years ago
It changed because that way of animating is slower and mutch more expensive than modern animation.

I saw this one when I was little. My grandma had it on video tape. This was by far the weirdest episode, I think.
