I've heard of that mental sickness before - we has to do this huge report in school and that was mine; its very confusing the further you get with it. There is a sickness called Hypertrichosis (search wiki) that is behind most werewolf reports. Thats all. There is also a desease that makes human painfully allergic to sunlight and causes white skin. That doesn't make them vampires.

I always thought that Lycanthropy was just a mental stage of thinking you are a were... where that "infected" person would sub-consiously walk around slaughtering animals... howling... whatever crosses your mind.

I'm sure there are some people with a type of mental disorder like that, but I think the closest thing to a werewolf you'll ever get would be Bill-E Spleen from the Demonata series written by Darren Shan, or some horror movie with terrible special-FX.

Wikipedia is not solid scientific proof. I can enter a wikipedia entry on werewolves if i wanted to. I have a 4 year Biology degree...I have taken genetics courses, and Zoology courses (among lots of others) and there IS no scientific undeniable proof. There are no preserved specimens, etc. Just like the loch Ness monster, it hasn't actually been proven, just speculation. Sorry to disappoint you.

I enjoyed this, and IMO the last good werewolf movie that was made was Dog Soliders, which some clips of it were used in this film. I totally agree that Peter Jackson could pull off a kick ass werewolf film. Anyways, good vid and I too wanted to know what film was used at 2:59.

out of all the horror genres the werewolf movies scared me the most as a child....they havnt made a truly frightening wolf movie in years....theyve remade everything else....how bout a remake of howling 5 in the castle...always my favorite...or fk silver bullet but not so cheasy....i bet peter jackson could put a sick twist on that one

I know a lot of people are into role play, but...the suggestion of people thinking they really are werewolves is a bit much, because I am a Biologist by trade...I work with DNA, and uh...last time i checked, there has never been a single person in human history ever proved to have been a "Werewolf".

So the role play is all well and good, but don't flame in my comments. Secondly, this is just a video I made for fun. But, to each their own I suppose.
