@romans1001 You have to understand that Julius Schwartz. the "father" of the Silver Age of comic books, pioneered the concept of the multiverse to explain to the young readers of the time (late 50's/early 60's) why there were different versions of the Flash, Green Lantern, the Atom and Hawkman and how the JSA and JLA could interact with each other. This idea proved popular with the young readers and Earth 1 and Earth 2 were born. The Crime Syndicate (Earth 3) was a extension of this concept.

the thing people forget about Aquaman is that well he has spent his entire under pressures that would cripple humans. Plus he spends half is time on the surface to balance it out. He has developed enhanced strength and agility thanks to his life under the sea. Plus, he can summon mythic creatures of the deep. And in the comics, he has the Trident of Poseidon. And he owns most of the earth.

I never understood all the hate surrounding Aquaman. I grew up with the silver age DC heroes. Barry as the Flash, Hal as GL, Supes and the rest of the gang. That included Aquaman. Aquaman is adapted to live underwater so he can breath swim at great speeds and has a high degree of durability. He also has superhuman strength he is like Namor only Aquaman can talk to sea life.

@erzan Aquaman gets a bad rap. I'm not a fan, but I don't see the issue people have with the current Aquaman. Parodies aside he's one of the more recognizable heroes and is a physical powerhouse. Not to mention he has tremendous telepathic abilities.

(Captain Marvel, Mary Marvel, Uncle Marvel, Marvel Jr.) They're equally as strong as Superman. And considering that Aquaman is the only one in that group that's physically strong enough to take physical blows from them, it's a pretty big deal.
