This movie sucked! I mean the books were good but the movie, was just 2 hours wasted. The bear was the only good thing about it. Did anyone notice that that bigger bear that said "is that all!" basically went down in one hit while the other was able to take like forty?
u cant find the books? I got mine in a box set but I'm prety sure you can find them like an all-in-one set. Check Wal-Mart. They usualy have them there. But, then again, i ahvent seen them in a while.

I am a strong supporter of those who detest this film, the books,and writer Phillip Pullman. ... This was a well made scene though, very entertaining, I just wish it hadn't been in the film where God and the Church are Enemy #1

And I am really Ok with these books; I mean I respect your beliefs and all, but I think the church is way overrated. I'm an atheist, and I fucking loved the book. Well, Balthazar and Baruch weren't gay, but thats IMO, I think they were like brothers or something, remember Baruch saved Balthazar's life or something, he mentions that when Baruch just died. In spanish, Balthazar's name is Balthamos, I dunno wtf went on there... Annd Cliff Ghasts (if i think they are what i'm thinking, again, names may get lost in the translation) are like monsters that have nothing better to do than being stupid.

In the book this scene is ten thousand times more powerful and violent and epic and raw.
Iorek was able to deceit Iofur because this one was acting not like a bear but like an human. In this movie scene i can feel all the meanings behind.
If you liked the movie, try the books, you will absolutely love them!
