Actually did they learn nothing from Minority Report...you can't do people for crimes they haven't actually committed yet as they might not commit them...? Right? They better address the heart of this matter quickly. So on that note I'll watch the Pilot.
As long as a giant red ball isn't involved I'll watch. I have a history with JJ and every time I involve myself with his shows I again I always question my sanity. It starts good, good story, good characterization, then it gets interesting, then questions are not answered and then when they are the answers are just bizarre and you're like "hang on this is nothing like the show I started watching 3 years ago!"
Jim Caviezel was totally channeling Clint Eastwood in that scene where he takes the guns, if you watch the whole scene you'll know what I mean. The way he tells the guy he shouldn't hold his gun sideways or it will eject the shell casing into his face, sounded straight out of Gran Torino, and after he shoots everybody he holds the gun at his hip like a revolver. I hope he keeps playing his character in that Clint Eastwood style, it makes it that much more awesome.

Saw an early screening of this - sorry to say, it's very bad. It invokes every generic crime cliche and stock character you've seen a million times before, and the main character is very annoying and has no personality. the actions lacks any real tension, and the story is beyond predictable. Good premise - abysmal execution.
You may think this is just a “cool new show”, but believe me personal privacy and pre-crime mentality is growing in the minds of the U.S. government. Check out DHS’s advocacy of the “See something, say something” crap. Go check it out on their website (dhs.gov) for yourself. Oh, and if you notice in the videos they put out, all of the “terrorists” are normal every day Americans.

If the advanced computer can't tell whether the person is victim, criminal, or witness how does it know the person is connected to that future crime? The only way it could know is if it "sees" the person at the crime scene, and by doing that it's not calculating, it's literally viewing into the future which is impossible. I will pass...
I hate this guy they should gett Josh Holloway. It seem that JJ hate Josh. How come everybody got good post-lost career, but Josh. He is the most talented person on the show. This is so freaking unfair. Evi got the hobbit, matthew got WWZ, and Josh got a show with Jennifer Aniston. I hate Terry, he made fun of Josh live.

This show is doomed to fail. It will have a HUGE premier and then viewers will drop off like flies. I guarantee this show gets canceled after the first season.
If this series doesn't become a hit then i've lost all hope in humanity, because not only does the series have a fucking all-star of everything working on it. But it's going up against the office and grey's anatomy two series that 5 years would have squashed a show like this, but now with both very close to the end of their runs this has the chance to be a huge hit.
I know "finch" as benjamin linus for the past 7 years. I dont think i would be able to adjust to him being a different character although he does seem a little similar in this show.

JJ is very good with TV and Johnathan is a great writer. Plus, have you heard of cable? The programming that has Emmy-worthy things like Dexter, Breaking Bad, True Blood, THE WALKING DEAD, even Mad Men and Burn Notice. Most of the goodies are on cable. The competition just expanded and network TV is suffering like Osama in hell.
It's awesome that two shows from J.J. Abrams are coming this year and one is about numbers with Michael Emerson from LOST ( Person of Interest ) and the second is about island with Jorge Garcia from LOST ( Alcatraz ). It's like christmas, only better.

That seems amazing. Awesome, charismatic leads (Emerson/Caviezel), talented writers/producers (Nolan/Abrams), a perfect timeslot (Thursdays 9pm) on the most watched network (CBS) : that is the receipe of a great, successful show !
Let's hope it won't disturb too much the usual CBS audience, because that actually is not a copshow unlike almost every other drama series they produce (which is why I don't like CBS dramas in general, but this Person of Interest seems like a keeper !).

I'm glad it's not a cop show like NCIS. Look who's behind it - You can guess it will be a character driven, complex thriller!

Hmmm... so Emerson is pretty much playing Ben Linus again, recruiting a Sayid/Jack crossover character to do his dirty work :P

That seems amazing. Awesome, charismatic leads (Emerson/Caviezel), talented writers/producers (Nolan/Abrams), a perfect timeslot (Thursdays 9pm) on the most watched network (CBS) : that is the receipe of a great, successful show !
Let's hope it won't disturb too much the usual CBS audience, because that actually is not a copshow unlike almost every other drama series they produce (which is why I don't like CBS dramas in general, but this Person of Interest seems like a keeper !).
