@HerveGamerDude This guitar is a beast that's hard to hold back, I tune it to F and I turn the bass dial on the amp all the way to zero and it still sounds heavier than whale balls
@Mikejesmike Is there a single coil or a humbucker in the bridge position? Did you actually change anything, pickups etc, or is it left just as you bought it?
Dude, you play weird..lol.. The way you go to the next chord with just switching fingers. Looks freaky haha.. hey man it works you have it down really good.
Thanks, I'm all about economy when play, not moving my hand if I don't have to and if I have to hit a powerchord where I must use my index then I always use my ring finger, I figure 3 frets wide-3 fingers wide, only time I use my pinky is if I have to go to the next fret and then I'll use my bird finger. Never could understand why people powerchord with the index and pinky, but whatever floats their boat.
Oh yeah Dave Mustaine calls that movement spider riffing, or something like that. I was doing it before I learned he was doing it while looking at a guitar magazine Marty Freidman column. He calls it spider riffing but I just call it common sense, which fits into how I play.
Great job. I play the powerchords with the index and the pinky but also like Iommi do. Hetfield of Metallica only plays the powerchords by index and pinky, totally different to Kerry King or Iommy. I think Hetfield isn,t able to play most of the Slayersongs because he holds the guitar so low (There´s no way to play the "spider" in the sevent fret on the E-string)
Actually Sabbath was going to first explode through speakers on a Fender Stratocaster. The day they were to record the first album Tony's Fender's pickups went on the fritz so he decided to use his backup Gibson SG instead and the rest is heavy metal history.
Hey! Very impressive! I am a big Sabbath Fan, and also play. Your videos have been great to watch and learn! Very talented! Keep Up The ggod work. You wouldn't per chance know Wheels of Confusion?
I know a few riffs, but that part in the song that pops up now and then that sounds like a wheel rolling I don't know. It's a song that I like but I've never gotten around to really learning.
Thanks, yes it's stock. I just tuned it to C sharp. That guitar was my 2nd Crestline, and I was actually surprised by how good it sounded, because the first one (offset V/Randy Rhoades) totally sucked. So I written off the company as makers of terrible guitars, the tele was given to me by my brother-in-law.
Thanks, I'm having a bit of trouble finding the tab I used. Use google and type in quotations "symptom of the universe" tabs. For the beginning riff I play-
By any chance do you have the tabs to this song or know where i can get them in the sabbath tuning (step and a half down) because everytime i see tabs for it its within standard tuning
Thanks, that's a Crestline I'm playing. My main guitar a 1987 Ibanez RG560 Custom is out of commission right now. I should get it working in a few days.
Wow great playing , I break drum heads ever time we play this , just a aggressive song and need to run lt at 120 thounds watt system !!!!!!!

What makes you think they're inaccurate? Is it like the way I'm playing?
Mikejesmike 5 years ago
The tab i got is completely different but it sounds ok, i got it from ultimate-guitar, it goes
g- 7
d- 9 7 8 7
a- 8 8 7 8 8 5 8 7
e- 00000006 6 0000000 6 6 6 5
