great horse, i had a mare racker, she was named jazzy lady, he really does move and after having been seriously injuried. cool. amazing what tlc will do.
My God, he's FANTASTIC! That is just absolutley beautiful. How fast does he go? I'm guessing it's bloody fast due to the fact you need a car to keep up with him!
I noticed that you put new music to this video. Can you tell me what the old music was? I know it was done be the Georgia Satellites, but what was the name of the track? I loved it. Love this video as well.
Stunning. Recently learnt, and saw, the tortured gaits of sored and stacked TW. Nothing majestic or clever about that. Jazz looks fabulous, natural and smoooooooooooooooth. That is what should be at the shows - and winning
I agree with the sentiment against stacking walking horses, but unfortunately this gait will never win in the walking ring, because he is Racking, not doing a Running Walk, and so *technically* isn't gaiting properly. With that being said, racking horses are very fun to ride and worth owning just for the sheer joy of it!
Great video. It's so rare to see a true racking horse without the pads and labored gait. Wonderful headset, and you can tell he's smooth as silk to ride.
He's not a walking horse, but he was bred to rack. He was very trotty starting out under saddle and never hit a gait for about 3 months but once he got him hitting a few licks he finally put it all together and he's been racking ever since.
I didn't Gps him on this day but the last run of the video I told the driver of the truck to keep the truck on 20 mph, but you can't get accurate speed of a horse this way. I would say we was going 18 mph. It was a blast! Thanks for your comments!!
SWEEEET! Gaited horses rock! I'm in the process of buying my first horse (Saddlebred), but I don't know if I'll be able to gait her; she's looking more the sporthorse type.^_^
The banjo music fits this perfectly...

Wow! I love, love, LOVE the gait! So animated and fun to watch! Probably even more fun to ride! I like it even better than the Tennesee Walkers.
You said you don't breed TWHs...what kind of gaited horses do you breed, if I may ask? I'd love to own a Racker someday myself. :)
