So there are icey water particles on some moons, they don't have an atmospere to make it rain nor have oxygen. So what there is ice. That ice was there since the creation of those moons unless it has an atmosphere with clouds, rain, etc.

Mercury is just a rock, Venus has an atmosphere, so it trapps the suns heat and don't let it all off into space, thus heating the planet :D whereas Mercury don't trap it.

Thanks :) Saved me a google. Oh, one more thing... I know this might be a really dumb question but i have a moon landing conspiracy friend and i couldn't answer one of his points. He asked why didn't the astronauts just sink into the dust on the moon since there is no wind on the moon, dust should have accumulated over the years to the point that the astronauts and their craft should have just sunk into it upon landing. I realize that this is a very stupid question and i apologize in advance.

pluto was 'demoted' as a planet in 2003 because of its tiny mass, the moon is larger and many asteroids are so, yes in reality it is a satelite of the sun but techinically its too small .. haha
