Numbers, Angles, Grass. They have a Heavy set to the Left but have numbers to the right. The WR who is Playing RT for this play does a shitty job of Ripping outside of the DE to get to the Mike Backer. He gets there but not as great as it could have been. The Slot has a pretty good arc block on the Corner but the Safety is free so the play cant go any farther without somebody making somebody miss
Duke's CB is more than 5 yards away from the line of scrimmage, so he is not in the count and doesn't factor into Nesbitt's read. The MLB is the correct fourth player.
In my opinion the Duke MLB is aware that he is overloading the count, when Nesbitt audibles the MLB shifts back to the middle of the field and indicates to his teammates that the play is being run to the defense's left.
