In Germany, you have to pay 50 €, instead the US price of 30 $, that is equivalent to an € price of 20 €... how can this happen?! Our taxes? Our customs duty?
I think we need to find out why this particular model by Spyderco is so Cheap ? What was taken away? something had to go.... I noticed the flick on the knife got VERY loose after few use which is unusual for Spyderco Quality. I am sure also Chinese made has a lot to do with it. It is still indeed a nice knife. Its worth getting one no doubt.
If anything says CHINA, its a failure. Sorry, but its true. There is reason for why this particular Spyderco is so dirt cheap. It is now widely known that function fails often.
@werfgsfsf why WD40? Why not just REM oil? WD40 is a cheap oil I wouldn't want touching my quality steel! It's good for door hinges but not $100+ knives! IMO
does anyone else have the problem with surface rust on their tenacious? i carry this in my pocket and i get little specks of surface rust. How do i prevent this?
I agree with your comment about "trying these knives". I admit I was jaded about purchasing a liner lock knife, but I purchased a Spyderco Military, and am still astounded by the fit/finish/ferocious qualities of their knives! Outstanding, great review. I might look into this model.
@bscalzo130 I also had doubts concerning liner locks. When I bought a Zero Tolerance 200, all doubts were put to rest. It's the most sturdy knife I have now. I guess you can trust liner locks from reputable knife brands like Spyderco & ZT.
I'm not trying to be arrogant or anything, so don't take it the wrong way, just want an opinion or two. Is there really any advantage to having a knife with the traditional design that Spyderco has? With the fat, but short blade, and the very thick, circular thumb opening hole? Maybe other than the size, becasue I would think it's good for every day carry ?(EDC) since it's so small.

Liner locks are ok if you open letters or cut cardboard.
Axis (arc-lock) and the tri-ad lock are the three best locks, period

Hey Matthew,
Great review! This looks like a nice EDC knife. You have a good point about people "babying their expensive knives".
Thanks for the review!
