i think than the only people than can say if boeing or Airbus is Better are a pilot, cause they know perfectly how to take the people and reach they destination, cause they know if the plane are safe or not, they dont care be comfotable, they care made his work god, and i tink than airbus and boeing has exelent planes, boeing is not better just for be the first..........
I'm for boeing, and don't really like Airbus, but damn! Airbus makes great planes (apart for the A340) Boeing must work harder, or they'll loose! Come on boeing! Develop a stretch for the 787!!
But yeah, B's like 50 years older than A. A is really working hard (and has worked) on safety matters with aircraft. B is making planes with environmental-friendly materials. They need to each other, because competition makes us work harder. What I really hate is that stupid proud-to-be-american tone when talking shit about Airbus, like they were perfect. Boeing was first, doesn't mean it's better.
One must be an idiot to start a fight over Boeing vrs Airbus, first off no company is giving anything to waste my time on them, second, as long as you get safe and sound to your destination, does it really matter whether is B or A?
Boeing people, mostly americans, wish Boeing was the only aircraft maker in the world because their economy's been awful lately, and because Airbus's been selling more. If there a monopoly things can get bad, we need competition!!!
airbus may copy boeing's design and technology, but whats big is that airbus has created the first digital fly by wire system for commercial airliners...
I dont get it...why are we fighting over this so many times...boeing isnt as safe as airbus and the planes tends to go weird sometimes...but they are powerfull airbus is quieter and not powerful but tyey have comfort theme in mind...
@tkpx8 There is no company in the world that can have the same reliability or track record as Boeings commercial line up. It is american engineering and that is why it is so powerful.
you racist, and stop saying that Boeing is the worlds best airplane maker...because->no, 707,727,and the deadly 737 had many accidents, and airbus barely got any accidents besides the s320...but theyre improving it on the a320-NEO upgrade, you hate Airbus? then stop complaining ur heads off here and tell your mom u hate Airbus... Airbus doesnt want to compete with Boeing, but the airlines pushed the company to make a competitor, and this is the old design...
@wahaya2 B747-8i is the longest airplane every made. Yes!! I can hear you say size does matter :) Dont get caught up on numbers, one way or the toher Boeing will always top the charts.
Pfft...Yet another comments section reserved for serious internet aircraft salesmen.
Anyone else getting annoyed with all this airbus/boeing 1v1 debate rage cluttering nearly every video here? I'd really appreciate reading more opinions from people other than these serious salesmen. Never mind... This comment will probably go unnoticed anyway...
Wed, Sep 12, 2007 Boeing Reclaims Large Order Lead Over Airbus But It's Deliveries That Count... And Boeing Leads There, As Well We doubt anyone at Boeing is breathing any easier... though we wouldn't be surprised if a few champagne corks are popping in Chicago and Seattle over the news Boeing has regained a substantial order lead over European rival Airbus, according to both planemakers' year-to-date figures.
Try not to be too harsh on the pathetic soul. He doesn't have much upstairs if you get my drift. A sure sign that senility and dementia are setting in..lol!
Bloomberg Sep 6th 2011_ AIRBUS HEADS FOR RECORD YEAR OUTSELLING BOEING AS ORDERS RISE WITH A320 NEO
@LottoWinner999 "Airbus SAS has won 1,156 orders so far this year, EASILY OUTSELLING rival Boeing Co. (BA) and putting the planemaker on track to capture its highest annual intake following the introduction of the A320neo. The company pulled in a net 1,015 orders after cancellations during_ the first eight months._ That includes 918 neos"
These are verified facts, not LottoLoser fiction. Numpty!
@LottoWinner999 "Since introducing the re-engined A320 in December, Airbus has won more than 1,200 commitments_ for the plane. If the company secures firm orders for the outstanding 300_ commitments, it will approach_ the 2007 record of 1,458 orders."
"Boeing so far this year has won 472 gross orders through Aug. 30, and 370 net orders, according to information on the Chicago-based company’s website."
So much for Boeing selling more than Airbus this year...LOL! Numpty!
@Mrscoobycoco Right now the Boeing 787-8I get better milage than the A380. Airbus does not built 1 palne that can match the Boeing 787 with 20% better fuel efficiency & 20% lower emissions. Boeing 787 is so quiet it does not lower engine power to take off and land making it safer. It has best air-filtrations system and is pressurized to 6000 feet make is comfortable for passengers + crew. The B747-8I and B-787 cruise at 615 MPH making them the fastest commericial jetliners. You can cry now!
@LottoWinner999 actually there is no such thing as the 787-8i and boeing isn't planning on making such an aircraft Mrscoobycoco is right boeing is stuck in the past haven't you heard the news boeing instead of making and new aircraft are upgrading their 737 which will be ready by 2017 but the thing is very few people will buy 737s in 2017 personally i think if boeing don't do something soon they'll go bankrupt. airbus are in the lead now.
@gladifly Airbus weakness, RR Trent Engines suck. Airbus had it easy till it upgraded A350-SDL. RR lacks power & thrust for A350-SDL. Airbus hat in had went begging to GE for them to buy GE-C90. But Boeing has Exclusivity Contract with GE and said no GE-C90 engines for U. AB had it easy for 25 years buying engines Boeing paid millions to GE & Pratt Whitney to develop This is why GE-C90 & Nexgen wil not be sold to AB. Boeing & GE work closing to make the engine & plane into single cohesive unit.
@LottoWinner999 ROFL i really did underestimate how dumb you actually are haha and to think you've just said RR lacks thrust but did you know that the airbus RR engines produce 97,000IB of thrust yeah its true and its way more than the GEnx on the 787 and it wouldn't make a difference the GE-C90 is only fitted to the 777 youthink that its gonna be attached to the 787 haha it wouldn't even get off the ground it it was anyways the yanks at GE got their jet engine ideas off rolls royce engineers.
Oh, Boeing really paid for the GE CF6 engine that was developed for the LOCKHEED C5 Galaxy? You are dumber than a piece of bread. Try to read that slowly: The A350-800 has an engine, the A350-900 has an engine, the A350-1000 had an engine before Asian airlines asked for a higher thrust option which has to be developed first. And btw. GEnx engines will most likely be the second option for the A350-800 and A350-900.
The exclusivity contract only affects the A350-1000 which is a direct competitor to the 777-300ER, the smaller variants will most likely get GEnx engines, GE would be dumb not to sell hundreds of engines. The GE90 was never in question for the A350.
@blablubb12345 The day of Airbus being able to buy a State of the Art jet engine designed for a Boeing Jetliner is over. Boeing paid 1 Biillion USD to develop GE NexGen B2 engine & GE-C90 which was devloped for the Boeing 777-300ER. Airbus has been told no to both engines and has to pay RR 1 Billion Euros to devlop engine for the A350-SDL. Both GE engines were paid for by Boeing who has ordered 2,800 enginess. Plus Boeing & GE are developing a smaller NexGen engine for a single aisle jetliner.
@blablubb12345 Theres talk Boeing and GE will merge & there 2 American businesses that watch for each others backs. Airbuses legal loop-hole that allowed AB to buy P & W jet engines developed and paid for by Boeing is why Airbus planes look like Boeing aricraft. Boeing is putting the screws to Airbus cuz they can't build a safe, economical long distance jet engine. Boeing has 2800 orders for GE-Nexgen engines + ramping up for 787 + 747-8I production but there will be no GE C-90 & NexGen for AB!
@blablubb12345 Boeing bought that company & every thing with it including US Patents for design and jet engines.U are so stupid the RR Trent 1000 has problems! CF6 Patent belongs to Boeing and if they upgrade the patent is extended. RR Trent 1000 is not powerful enough & thats why AB sent execs to GE to buy the C-90. Did U know Boeing 777-200LR is the world's longest-range airliner and holds record for longest distance flown by an unrefueled commercial aircraft for 9,695 Nautical Miles.
@Mrscoobycoco Airbus does not have 1 airplane that can compare to the Boeing 737 and U know it. A320neo has GE engines and new paint job. Boeing 737 gets better milage and can seat 190 passengers. Boeing 737 makes aviation history with 6500 built and 2500 hundred orders on the books and new orders daily for its new reengines model. Airbus cannot come close to achieving the record of the Boeing 737 and the new engine their planning will get more milage than anything Airbus can make. UYMF.
@Mrscoobycoco It was USAF that invented fly by wire and computerized changes made to airplanes were pioneered by Boeing.Boeing 777 was 1ST plane in the world 2B 100% computer designed. If U look at dash of a 787 Boeing converted fly by wire into a yoke system it gives the pilot sense of flying instead of a stupid joy stick that crashed AF Flight 447 with 3 defective computerzied pitot tubes. Boeing has 2500 orders for the 737 + every Airbus made is a piece of shit with two wings.
@Mrscoobycoco I am sure Boeing has new planes and the B-787 is the worlds most mordern jetliner. See Boeing does not need to beat its chest like Airbus. Airbus is on the skids with the A380 failures and the A350 without an engine and all your other planes are obsolete and out of date. The A320neo is new paint and engines and does have new wing or any thing to compate to Boeing. When will the A350 be built, 2017 ?
@Mrscoobycoco Because the found a new one in France that was in the crate and it was leaking oil. Airbus can only build cheap A320neos because the Boeing 777 has crushed A330 and A340 sales and AB has little money with 16 billion Euro debt caused by A380. You don'tget paid untill you deliver and Neos won't be deliverd till 2018. Boeing is killing Airbus in the mid-size market and thats were the moneys with Boeing 787 goes into full production. Airbus has to build the plane around the engine!
@LottoWinner999 Your full of shit over 6,600 Boeing 737s have been built and Boeing 737 has 2,600+ B-737 firm orders on the books and the A320 sales will never come close. Remember Boeing has the engine supply locked up with the second GE NexGen engine built for the 737 plus it lighter and gets better milage and holds more passsengers. Check out Boeing 737 website and you will learn were the market is instead of your imagination. How come the A350-SDL has not started production? No engine!!!
@Mrscoobycoco Boeing 787 is going to break every record in the book espeacially with speed, fuel, economy and saftey. Airbuses attempted revenge by building the biggest flying White Elephant A380 is a financial disaster. The B-787 fills the niche, it will be five years before A350 starts test flights. In that time period Boeing production will corner the mid-size market. Every B-747-8I sale is nail in the A380s coffin which will be obsolete and 14 years old accept it the A380 will be cancelled!
@Mrscoobycoco The A350s engine has not been built yet and Quantes explosion and double engine loss is Airbuses wake up call. Airbus has been lucky and its a matter of time before the next RR engine explosion. Airbus does it backwards and building a plane with only engine supplier is suicide. The Boeing 777 with the GE-C90 is engineering at its best and record for longest distance flown by an unrefueled commercial aircraft at 9,380 nauticle miles. When you fly on Airbus you put your life at risk!
@Mrscoobycoco Its obvious Airbus has resumed building smaller plane because of available engines and mid-air engine explosion that put Qantas super-jumbos on the ground was the 3RD emergency linked to oil leaking RR Trent engine. Rolls-Royce powered A380 owned by SIA, was forced to turn back after leaving Paris because engine malfunction. A B-777 landed at Heathrow + RR +Trent engine engine lost power cuz of constriction of the fuel supply cold conditions, RR engines should never been approved!
@Mrscoobycoco Your a clever liar and RR Trent Engines do not develop enough power-thrust for 2ND & 3RD version of A350-SDL-EXB. RR said we will make you a new engine for A350-SDL-EXB of course AB must pay 1 bil. Euros in advance. AB is fucked cuz 70% of jet are licensed GE + Pratt Whitney engines. Face it allot of B-787 buyers are switching over to the GE-NexGen B1 engines cuz RR Trent 1000 engines explode and scare flyers and plus they are plagued with problem like shutting down in mid-flight.
@Mrscoobycoco The double-stretch 787-10-DS to be delivered in 2015 to counter A350-SDL-EWB. The 787-10-DS & 777s will need GE-C90. AB had it easy for 25 years cuz they did not a spend a dime for engine development & bought engines made for Boeing 737,747, 777,787s. Boeing spent 500 mil.USD to build GE-C90 & 750 mil USD to build NexGen engines. Boeings Exclusivity Contracts on GE-C90 + Nex-Gen engines will teach AB a hard lesson, build your engines AB will spend 2 bil. Euros for A350 engine.
@Mrscoobycoco Don't lie the RR Trent is only rated at 85,000 pound of thrust and its needs 100,000 pounds of thrust for the A350-SDL-EWB. The Trent 10000 engine is not powerful enough for the 2ND & 3RD A350-SDL-EWB and that's why Airbus wanted the GE-C90. The two bigger 787s will uses the upgraded GE-C90 NexGen. Airbus is really behind in engine technology and many of the 787 buyers have changed engines to the GE-NexGen-B1 engine because of dangerous exploding RR Trent Engines.
Wait the 787 has been delayed as well not just the A350. The 787 plans were announced about 5 years ago and has had problems which has delayed Boeing to launch them. Finally late this year they would launch the 787. Also the a350 has been around for a while.
How much ground clearance does the A350 have compared to the 777? From current renderings it seems that future A350NG's will run into the same ground-clearance based problems like the 737NG.
@julesgymnast Thats what I thought loser at "university" did they not teach you alternate law, direct law, and mechanical law, in over relation to the fbw system and how to over ride it? Look that up so nect time you make up that you are 20 and in your 5 the year of ''university'' you can at least back up you bs thanks and goodnight loser
@julesgymnast it wasn't on a topolov it was an airbus a310 before they had the fbw system they have now one of the reasons they introduced it Aeroflot Flight 593, your 20 and your in your 5th year of university lol ok, and even if you were who cares you have demonstrated you dont know shit, forget your hey kid to someone 10 years older than you and ur other played out distractions from the fact ur wrong quote what i said that was innacurate and show me evidence to the contrary like adults do KID
@julesgymnast oh ok i'm married with children my father has been in the aviation industry for 40 years and you?? Obviously you had no response to my comment you buffoon hence you made your feeble attempt at a humorous comeback
And i am aware how the oxygen system works obviously you are not firstly the pilots have separate oxygen system from the passengers, they dont get the little yellow masks you moron they have to put on their own masks, once the pilot fits his mask he can descend to 10,000 feet so there is no need for pressurization please emphasize where ''i spewed shit'' you novice smart ass?
@julesgymnast Yea like the time a Russian pilots kid started playing with the yoke on a 737 and the autopilot disengaged so they crashed and killed everyone aboard, also you can over ride the computers on airbus that's a fallacy it's just not as easy as a Boeing so you spew shit I bet you have never even worked in the aviation industry another guy educated on Wikipedia also ''as fast as possible'' who said not to descend he said nosedive 10,000 feet in seconds that would rip apart the air frame
this is amazung plane but it wont sell good cause almost evry friken company already baught a boeing 787 so that make me mad cause this is the better plane in a way
Just flown the A380 with 470 other passengers on the Singapore to London and London to Singapore routes. To all the bedroom experts who have yet to leave home and are still tucked in by your mother at night, wait until you have experienced these magnificent birds before you make very uneducated and juvenile comments. A truly enjoyable and amazing feat of aeronautical engineering.
@EVR1ZADIKED they don't copy anyone mate, they find new ways of doings things and develop from their. and i'll let u into a secret, b4 the a380 and 787 was decided by both companies they tried to make a super plane with both airbus and boeing technology together but the both couldn't agree on the a380 or 787 so that's when the agreed to make seperate plane's, bet u didn't know that did u?
THE FACT IS: Airbus Didn't copy the 787. It's completely different. The A350 is a solution for B777 and a replacement for the A330. A350-1000 solved the problem of B777 fuel economical and the quietness, A350 is almost the same size as A330, A350 is Extra Wide Body, which gives you more space than the B787, and Airbus mastered the fly-by-wire system. I'm a Big Boeing fan myself but for people who can't think clearly-this is NOT a copy of B787.
@raykrislianggi NASA INVENTED FLY BY WIRE AND AIRBUS WAS THE FIRST USE IT IN AN AIRLINER, BOEING USED IT ON THE 777,787 & 747-8i BASICALLY THE 747-8i IS A PART COMPOSITE FUSELAGE, NEW ENGINES, NEW WINGS AND INTERIOR FROM 787 AND A380 AND ALSO IT'S BEEN OFFICIAL ANNOUNCED THE 747-8I IS 11% MORE FUEL EFFICIENT THAN A380! BUT IT DOES LOOK SIMILAR TO THE B787 HONESTLY! THE A330 IS FAIRLY NEW BUT IT'S ONLY NATURAL THAT THEY'LL REPLACE IT SUM DAY! I LOVE BOEING! AND SAYING SUMMAT AS AM FROM THE UK!
@poelaertpieterjan BUT FAR SAFER, IN AIRBUS IN AN EMERGENCY YOUR ****** COS THE FLY BY WIRE SYSTEM WOULDN'T LET THE PILOT TAKE CONTROL, WHERE BOEING'S FLY BY WIRE WOULD LET A PILOT TAKE CONTROL & SAVE A PLANE FROM CRASHING KILLING 100'S! & IF BOEING IS WAY BEHIND WHY IS IT THAT 747 IS SAFEST AIRCRAFT FLYING & HAS BIN FOR 47 YEARS AND WILL CONTINUE WITH 747-8i, 747-8I 11% more fuel efficient than a A380 AND THAT'S FACT! THE A380 FAILED ITS ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY TEST. STILL LOOKS A GREAT PLANE
How can it be a fact if the 747-8 asn't flown yet and no data is available? It's what they expect, not what they have as data. So basically: no this isn't a fact, this is an assumption.
@poelaertpieterjan YEAH THE GEnx-2B ENGINES THAT WILL POWER IT ARE MORE EFFICIENT THAN THE TRENT 900 OR THE GP7200. AND YEAH THE 747-8 HAS FLOWN 747-8F has flown so yeah it is a fact that it's 11% more efficient than a380, and a380 failed its efficiency and environmentally friendly test's! out of 787 and a380 in orders the 787 beats the a380 by a long way.
@poelaertpieterjan the majority of aircrafts used by airlines are boeing so if it was true what your saying no one would fly them. you only need to look at the new 747-8 and main one boeing 787 dreamliner their flightdecks are far newer and more advanced than any airbus, even more so the 787 cos the 787 is the worlds most technologically advanced arliner and most popular, boeing have got over 850 orders for this amazing revolutionary airplane first due to be delivered to All Nippon Airways in Q3
@poelaertpieterjan they aim to deliver 20 787's in q3 of this year and then their upping its production lines to get more planes built and to airlnes, thomsonfly are getting theirs in january 2012. i reckon boeing will have finished delivering just before the a350 is put into service. why does the a350 look like a almost exact clone of the 787 dreamliner?
Dude... Looks. Every plane looks the same you know, it has wings, engines, rudder, ailerons, flaps. I think Boeing copied the 787 from the Wright brothers.
is simply funny how Boeing fans just watch Airbus videos to criticize, don't you have something better to do? for example go find out why so many 737 are crashing,
@keduardop because there are more 737's flying than any other ariliners..? so the chance that a 737 crashes is bigger than that a a320 for example will crash.. not because a a320 is safer.. but because there are more 737's..
@keduardop Hey faggot, how about you look in to the ratio of Airbus plane crashings, to Boeing's. Hopefully Airbus will be shut down by the FAA. A380 is the most idiotic plane in the world!
@FuturePilot787 GO ON YOU TELL HIM, BOEING BOEING BOEING AND MORE BOEING FOR ME, NO A380 LIKE U SAY, THERE'S NO NEED FOR A SUPERJUMBO, ALL THE 747'S ARE PERFECTLY FINE AND ESPECIALLY WITH THE NEW 747-8i COMING SOON. DON'T GET ME WRONG GOT TO GIVE AIRBUS CREDIT FOR CREATING SUCH I BIG AIRCRAFT I HOPE AIRLINE'S DON'T CARRY 800 PASSENGER'S AND USE SUM SPACE FOR LEG ROOM AND LUXURIES AT NO EXTRA COST!
@FuturePilot787 its too big that the problem, well boeing did tell them it would work widley to benefit building a full double decker plane and airbus havent made a profit as of yet, boeing has over 850 orders to date for the 787 alone and 68 orders for the new 747-8f&i models. i wish people would buy the new 747-8 intercontinental, the a380 is okay but not as nice as 747, also i'm a boeing person but the airbus's i really love is the A340 mainly, the A330 is quite nice but still boeing anyday
@keduardop I'M ALL FOR BOEING AND I PREFER BEOING'S BUT THEIRS NOTHING WRONG WITH AIRBUS, I JUST DON'T AGREE WITH THE A380 DESIGN AT THE MOMENT! AND I DON'T AGREE WITH AIRBU'S FBW SYSTEMS, COS IN A EMERGENCY A PILOT CAN'T TAKE FULL CONTROL COS OF FBW COMPUTER'S, AND ALSO THEIR ARE TWO TYPE OF FBW, ONE THAT AIRBUS ARE USING AND THE OTHER THAT BOEING STARTED USING FROM THE 777 TO THE BRAND NEW 787 DREAMLINER, BOEING'S FBW IS THE SAFEST COS IT'D LET PILOTS TAKE OVER IN A EMERGENCY IF THEY HAD TO.
@keduardop i dont critise airbus, i'm a boeing person through and through but airbus have made some cracking planes, A340, A330 AND A380, DONT GET ROLLS ROYCE ENGINES ON A A380 tho cos they keep blowing up in mid-air. they need get EA GP7200. the 747-8 in tests has come out that the 747-8I 11% more fuel efficient than a A380 AND THAT'S FACT! thanks to its GEnX-2B engines. the a380 has a lot of years before its catches up with the 747's 42 years, the 747 is queen of the skies regardless + safest
@sonicfan7 Hey Airfagger I see your a tad bit upset + if U fly 2 Scottsdale AZ I will meet U @ the plane. U know Arizona is still the Wild West + fist fighting is crude so + I'll lend U a Colt Peace-Maker + let U draw first + there has 2B witnesses cuz we have the Death Penalty in AZ + I will not waste my life on Death Row 4A Eurotard luvin Airfagger like U. Self-defence is legal + I warn U I am a sharp shooter + practice my quick draw every day thats why I will let U draw 1st + post it on YT!
@sonicfan7 Trafalgar wrote: Right, so American Government awarded a tender to American company. 10 years ago, it wouldn't have merited a mention. Wake up Airfaggers these R American jobs + if U want a job send your resume for Janitors + floor sweepers to Boeing.
@sonicfan7 The 20, 30's were infancy of flying after WW2 did commerical aircraft become safe. Pressurized Lockeheed Constellation + Boeing 377 was worlds 1ST Double Decker Stratocruiser + not the A380. These civilain airpalnes were drafted N2 USAAF + proven safe to fly in extreme military conditions some in actual combat. Watch "Pan Am Boeing 377 "Stratocruiser"-1950-Part l/lll " + learn how extreme testing by Boeing would test an airplane B4 it was certifed. I Know AB would not pass test.
It's a nice plane that's for sure, but it's just a slightly bigger, less technologically advanced copy of the B787. which is a bit embarrasing seing as it'll be a newer plane.
Competition between airliners is good. It keeps them on their toes. Both make better stuff, and we get fly better. But just don't overdo it.
I love both Boeing and Airbus, but I'd say the 787 Delayliner is a little...disappointing in that Boeing haven't managed to get it in the air on time. Sure, the A380 was delayed too, but it's doing well now (sort of). Of course, once the 787 and A350 get airbourne, things are going to get interesting for us.
Why will it get interesting? They're not meant to be each other's direct competition. The 787-10 might invade the A350 XWB's domain, but it hasn't even been officially announced. Both planes will be great, and I intend to happily fly on both.
@qwertyplay123 AT LEAST BOEING NEVER RUSHED THE 787 DREAMLINER OUT AND ARE FIXING ALL THE PROBLEMS BEFORE THEY DELIVER TO CUSTOMERS, THIS WILL CUT DOWN ON CRASHED LAD! AND THE DREAMLINER IS FAR FROM DISSAPOINTING, YOU NEVER HEARD THE SLANG "BETTER LATE THAN NEVER"? IT'S CERTAINLY TRUE COS THE DREAMLINER IS AMAZING AND I'M SURE A350 WILL BE TOO BUT I'M A BEOING FAN AND I DO LIKE AIRBUS TOO. LIKE U SAID THEY BOTH MAKE GREAT AIRCRAFTS.
@qwertyplay123 I am bothered A350 stole compsoite wing design from Boeing 787. Airbus is 4 nations who have ganged up on Boeing .AB uses dirty business tactics, AB CEO said we will build USAF Tanker below costs to put Boeing out of business. Airbus has bitter taste of crow in its mouth cuz they lost USAF Tanker Contract to Boeing + General Electrics new GEgennex engines will only be available to Boeing. Airbus + EADS has learned these R American Jobs + USA is not Europes employment agency.
@qwertyplay123 If Airfags A350 is built there going 2 have problems with engines since AF has only 1 engine. Recently AF was snubbed by GE + told fuel efficient GEnexgen engine R unavailable 2 AF since Boeing is co-developer + placed largest order N history. BTW Trent engines have a tendency to explode + Quantas A380 was lucky + did U know A380 flunked its 1ST Flutter Test + 6 months put bandaid on it + claim its airworthy. AB needs 2 repect USA ppl + jobs N Alabama plant were low-pay shit jobs.
Well, I don't really want to debate here, what's important is "THEY MUST BOTH FLY PEOPLE SAFELY" I don't care about technologies or crap, I won't take it home after flying anyway.
@korver23 oh really? and who the heck are you? another idiot who's trying to be GOOD AT IT ALL? why don't you just stay down and don't start another "dumbass" argument here catdick
That's probably just because it's a new plane. It's not crap, all the newest of things develop problems sooner or later. What matters is that they get it right eventually.
I hope neither airbus or boeing is better than the other... if they are both the same, then they will always be motivated to push the envelope on developing new technologies and planes.
They are both great companies... but i prefer airbus just because it's European, and because all of the airbus planes I've been on were better than boeing... but a lot of boeings I've been on were very old.
@clccchucky not with the design, every plane must have their unique feature. This is some sort of a RIP-OFF of the B787. If they designed their aircraft more differently then why would anybody else react? Maybe they'd copy the windows too. Who's the real holder of the trademark anyway?
The A350 and the 787 have a lot in common. Both of them use Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic, and both utilize the same engines the Rolls-Royce Trent.
Both of them have the same operating costs, and can beat the crap out of the 737s and A320s, because there maintenance is also the same as the 737 and A320.
But if you want seating you will go with Airbus, if you are American then they will buy Boeing.
@CALanceGokongwei i'm British and i'd opt for boeing rather than airbus, airbus would be my last resort or if they brought summat out that was outstanding!
you people do not understand how hard it is to build a huge company like boeing or airbus (even i) so why do u bother urselfs posting stupid opinions which you dont know what ur talking about
@Dancing88Mike infact I can, because this one is made from Alluminium... It's defenetly different. The A350 is an enhanced and wider version of the A330.
i think than the only people than can say if boeing or Airbus is Better are a pilot, cause they know perfectly how to take the people and reach they destination, cause they know if the plane are safe or not, they dont care be comfotable, they care made his work god, and i tink than airbus and boeing has exelent planes, boeing is not better just for be the first..........

I'm for boeing, and don't really like Airbus, but damn! Airbus makes great planes (apart for the A340) Boeing must work harder, or they'll loose! Come on boeing! Develop a stretch for the 787!!
WeirdKlemch 2 months ago
But yeah, B's like 50 years older than A. A is really working hard (and has worked) on safety matters with aircraft. B is making planes with environmental-friendly materials. They need to each other, because competition makes us work harder. What I really hate is that stupid proud-to-be-american tone when talking shit about Airbus, like they were perfect. Boeing was first, doesn't mean it's better.
I applaud both Boeing and Airbus.
juanjillocr 2 months ago
One must be an idiot to start a fight over Boeing vrs Airbus, first off no company is giving anything to waste my time on them, second, as long as you get safe and sound to your destination, does it really matter whether is B or A?
Boeing people, mostly americans, wish Boeing was the only aircraft maker in the world because their economy's been awful lately, and because Airbus's been selling more. If there a monopoly things can get bad, we need competition!!!
juanjillocr 2 months ago
airbus may copy boeing's design and technology, but whats big is that airbus has created the first digital fly by wire system for commercial airliners...

If there was only Boeing or Airbus we'd end up in a $1,000,000,000 price tag for A320s or 737s. It would be run as a monopoly.

Numpty!
BOACMach2 5 months ago
@LottoWinner999 "Since introducing the re-engined A320 in December, Airbus has won more than 1,200 commitments_ for the plane. If the company secures firm orders for the outstanding 300_ commitments, it will approach_ the 2007 record of 1,458 orders."
"Boeing so far this year has won 472 gross orders through Aug. 30, and 370 net orders, according to information on the Chicago-based company’s website."
So much for Boeing selling more than Airbus this year...LOL! Numpty!
BOACMach2 5 months ago
@Mrscoobycoco Right now the Boeing 787-8I get better milage than the A380. Airbus does not built 1 palne that can match the Boeing 787 with 20% better fuel efficiency & 20% lower emissions. Boeing 787 is so quiet it does not lower engine power to take off and land making it safer. It has best air-filtrations system and is pressurized to 6000 feet make is comfortable for passengers + crew. The B747-8I and B-787 cruise at 615 MPH making them the fastest commericial jetliners. You can cry now!
LottoWinner999 5 months ago
@LottoWinner999 actually there is no such thing as the 787-8i and boeing isn't planning on making such an aircraft Mrscoobycoco is right boeing is stuck in the past haven't you heard the news boeing instead of making and new aircraft are upgrading their 737 which will be ready by 2017 but the thing is very few people will buy 737s in 2017 personally i think if boeing don't do something soon they'll go bankrupt. airbus are in the lead now.

gladifly 5 months ago
LottoWinner999 5 months ago
@LottoWinner999 ROFL i really did underestimate how dumb you actually are haha and to think you've just said RR lacks thrust but did you know that the airbus RR engines produce 97,000IB of thrust yeah its true and its way more than the GEnx on the 787 and it wouldn't make a difference the GE-C90 is only fitted to the 777 youthink that its gonna be attached to the 787 haha it wouldn't even get off the ground it it was anyways the yanks at GE got their jet engine ideas off rolls royce engineers.

@LottoWinner999
And btw. GEnx engines will most likely be the second option for the A350-800 and A350-900.
blablubb12345 5 months ago
@blablubb12345 No GE-C90 and No GE NexGen engines for Airbus because of Boeing Exclusivity Contract!
LottoWinner999 5 months ago
@LottoWinner999
The exclusivity contract only affects the A350-1000 which is a direct competitor to the 777-300ER, the smaller variants will most likely get GEnx engines, GE would be dumb not to sell hundreds of engines. The GE90 was never in question for the A350.
blablubb12345 5 months ago

LottoWinner999 5 months ago
@blablubb12345 Theres talk Boeing and GE will merge & there 2 American businesses that watch for each others backs. Airbuses legal loop-hole that allowed AB to buy P & W jet engines developed and paid for by Boeing is why Airbus planes look like Boeing aricraft. Boeing is putting the screws to Airbus cuz they can't build a safe, economical long distance jet engine. Boeing has 2800 orders for GE-Nexgen engines + ramping up for 787 + 747-8I production but there will be no GE C-90 & NexGen for AB!
LottoWinner999 5 months ago
@blablubb12345 Boeing bought that company & every thing with it including US Patents for design and jet engines.U are so stupid the RR Trent 1000 has problems! CF6 Patent belongs to Boeing and if they upgrade the patent is extended. RR Trent 1000 is not powerful enough & thats why AB sent execs to GE to buy the C-90. Did U know Boeing 777-200LR is the world's longest-range airliner and holds record for longest distance flown by an unrefueled commercial aircraft for 9,695 Nautical Miles.
LottoWinner999 5 months ago
@Mrscoobycoco Airbus does not have 1 airplane that can compare to the Boeing 737 and U know it. A320neo has GE engines and new paint job. Boeing 737 gets better milage and can seat 190 passengers. Boeing 737 makes aviation history with 6500 built and 2500 hundred orders on the books and new orders daily for its new reengines model. Airbus cannot come close to achieving the record of the Boeing 737 and the new engine their planning will get more milage than anything Airbus can make. UYMF.
LottoWinner999 5 months ago
@Mrscoobycoco It was USAF that invented fly by wire and computerized changes made to airplanes were pioneered by Boeing.Boeing 777 was 1ST plane in the world 2B 100% computer designed. If U look at dash of a 787 Boeing converted fly by wire into a yoke system it gives the pilot sense of flying instead of a stupid joy stick that crashed AF Flight 447 with 3 defective computerzied pitot tubes. Boeing has 2500 orders for the 737 + every Airbus made is a piece of shit with two wings.
LottoWinner999 5 months ago
@Mrscoobycoco I am sure Boeing has new planes and the B-787 is the worlds most mordern jetliner. See Boeing does not need to beat its chest like Airbus. Airbus is on the skids with the A380 failures and the A350 without an engine and all your other planes are obsolete and out of date. The A320neo is new paint and engines and does have new wing or any thing to compate to Boeing. When will the A350 be built, 2017 ?
LottoWinner999 5 months ago
@Mrscoobycoco Because the found a new one in France that was in the crate and it was leaking oil. Airbus can only build cheap A320neos because the Boeing 777 has crushed A330 and A340 sales and AB has little money with 16 billion Euro debt caused by A380. You don'tget paid untill you deliver and Neos won't be deliverd till 2018. Boeing is killing Airbus in the mid-size market and thats were the moneys with Boeing 787 goes into full production. Airbus has to build the plane around the engine!
LottoWinner999 5 months ago
@LottoWinner999 Your full of shit over 6,600 Boeing 737s have been built and Boeing 737 has 2,600+ B-737 firm orders on the books and the A320 sales will never come close. Remember Boeing has the engine supply locked up with the second GE NexGen engine built for the 737 plus it lighter and gets better milage and holds more passsengers. Check out Boeing 737 website and you will learn were the market is instead of your imagination. How come the A350-SDL has not started production? No engine!!!
LottoWinner999 5 months ago
@Mrscoobycoco Boeing 787 is going to break every record in the book espeacially with speed, fuel, economy and saftey. Airbuses attempted revenge by building the biggest flying White Elephant A380 is a financial disaster. The B-787 fills the niche, it will be five years before A350 starts test flights. In that time period Boeing production will corner the mid-size market. Every B-747-8I sale is nail in the A380s coffin which will be obsolete and 14 years old accept it the A380 will be cancelled!
LottoWinner999 5 months ago
@Mrscoobycoco The A350s engine has not been built yet and Quantes explosion and double engine loss is Airbuses wake up call. Airbus has been lucky and its a matter of time before the next RR engine explosion. Airbus does it backwards and building a plane with only engine supplier is suicide. The Boeing 777 with the GE-C90 is engineering at its best and record for longest distance flown by an unrefueled commercial aircraft at 9,380 nauticle miles. When you fly on Airbus you put your life at risk!
LottoWinner999 5 months ago
@Mrscoobycoco Its obvious Airbus has resumed building smaller plane because of available engines and mid-air engine explosion that put Qantas super-jumbos on the ground was the 3RD emergency linked to oil leaking RR Trent engine. Rolls-Royce powered A380 owned by SIA, was forced to turn back after leaving Paris because engine malfunction. A B-777 landed at Heathrow + RR +Trent engine engine lost power cuz of constriction of the fuel supply cold conditions, RR engines should never been approved!
LottoWinner999 5 months ago
LottoWinner999 5 months ago
LottoWinner999 5 months ago

BUT IT DOES LOOK SIMILAR TO THE B787 HONESTLY! THE A330 IS FAIRLY NEW BUT IT'S ONLY NATURAL THAT THEY'LL REPLACE IT SUM DAY! I LOVE BOEING! AND SAYING SUMMAT AS AM FROM THE UK!

@poelaertpieterjan YEAH THE GEnx-2B ENGINES THAT WILL POWER IT ARE MORE EFFICIENT THAN THE TRENT 900 OR THE GP7200. AND YEAH THE 747-8 HAS FLOWN 747-8F has flown so yeah it is a fact that it's 11% more efficient than a380, and a380 failed its efficiency and environmentally friendly test's! out of 787 and a380 in orders the 787 beats the a380 by a long way.
guitarplayerforu 1 year ago
@poelaertpieterjan the majority of aircrafts used by airlines are boeing so if it was true what your saying no one would fly them. you only need to look at the new 747-8 and main one boeing 787 dreamliner their flightdecks are far newer and more advanced than any airbus, even more so the 787 cos the 787 is the worlds most technologically advanced arliner and most popular, boeing have got over 850 orders for this amazing revolutionary airplane first due to be delivered to All Nippon Airways in Q3
guitarplayerforu 9 months ago
@guitarplayerforu
850 orders on how much time? if you calculae the orders per unit of time you will see the A350 is far more popular.
poelaertpieterjan 9 months ago
@poelaertpieterjan they aim to deliver 20 787's in q3 of this year and then their upping its production lines to get more planes built and to airlnes, thomsonfly are getting theirs in january 2012. i reckon boeing will have finished delivering just before the a350 is put into service. why does the a350 look like a almost exact clone of the 787 dreamliner?
guitarplayerforu 9 months ago
@guitarplayerforu
Dude... Looks. Every plane looks the same you know, it has wings, engines, rudder, ailerons, flaps. I think Boeing copied the 787 from the Wright brothers.
You don't know what you are talking about.
poelaertpieterjan 9 months ago
is simply funny how Boeing fans just watch Airbus videos to criticize, don't you have something better to do? for example go find out why so many 737 are crashing,
bye bye!
keduardop 1 year ago
@keduardop HAHAHA
Speedbird103 1 year ago
@keduardop because there are more 737's flying than any other ariliners..? so the chance that a 737 crashes is bigger than that a a320 for example will crash.. not because a a320 is safer.. but because there are more 737's..
omarliew 1 year ago
@omarliew Yeah right, that's why it had 4 fatal design flaws?and the percentage of crashed 737s are tripple as high anyway.
sonicfan7 1 year ago
@keduardop Hey faggot, how about you look in to the ratio of Airbus plane crashings, to Boeing's. Hopefully Airbus will be shut down by the FAA. A380 is the most idiotic plane in the world!
FuturePilot787 1 year ago
@FuturePilot787 GO ON YOU TELL HIM, BOEING BOEING BOEING AND MORE BOEING FOR ME, NO A380 LIKE U SAY, THERE'S NO NEED FOR A SUPERJUMBO, ALL THE 747'S ARE PERFECTLY FINE AND ESPECIALLY WITH THE NEW 747-8i COMING SOON. DON'T GET ME WRONG GOT TO GIVE AIRBUS CREDIT FOR CREATING SUCH I BIG AIRCRAFT I HOPE AIRLINE'S DON'T CARRY 800 PASSENGER'S AND USE SUM SPACE FOR LEG ROOM AND LUXURIES AT NO EXTRA COST!
guitarplayerforu 1 year ago
@FuturePilot787 its too big that the problem, well boeing did tell them it would work widley to benefit building a full double decker plane and airbus havent made a profit as of yet, boeing has over 850 orders to date for the 787 alone and 68 orders for the new 747-8f&i models. i wish people would buy the new 747-8 intercontinental, the a380 is okay but not as nice as 747, also i'm a boeing person but the airbus's i really love is the A340 mainly, the A330 is quite nice but still boeing anyday
guitarplayerforu 9 months ago
@keduardop I'M ALL FOR BOEING AND I PREFER BEOING'S BUT THEIRS NOTHING WRONG WITH AIRBUS, I JUST DON'T AGREE WITH THE A380 DESIGN AT THE MOMENT! AND I DON'T AGREE WITH AIRBU'S FBW SYSTEMS, COS IN A EMERGENCY A PILOT CAN'T TAKE FULL CONTROL COS OF FBW COMPUTER'S, AND ALSO THEIR ARE TWO TYPE OF FBW, ONE THAT AIRBUS ARE USING AND THE OTHER THAT BOEING STARTED USING FROM THE 777 TO THE BRAND NEW 787 DREAMLINER, BOEING'S FBW IS THE SAFEST COS IT'D LET PILOTS TAKE OVER IN A EMERGENCY IF THEY HAD TO.
guitarplayerforu 1 year ago

Under every video of A350 or 787 theres the competition:
Boeing has a bigger p***is
Airbus has a bigger p***is
Boeing sucks
Airbus sucks
Relax guys..both build safe and innovative planes.

That fact speaks volumes.

LottoWinner999 1 year ago
It's a nice plane that's for sure, but it's just a slightly bigger, less technologically advanced copy of the B787. which is a bit embarrasing seing as it'll be a newer plane.

Competition between airliners is good. It keeps them on their toes. Both make better stuff, and we get fly better. But just don't overdo it.
I love both Boeing and Airbus, but I'd say the 787 Delayliner is a little...disappointing in that Boeing haven't managed to get it in the air on time. Sure, the A380 was delayed too, but it's doing well now (sort of). Of course, once the 787 and A350 get airbourne, things are going to get interesting for us.
qwertyplay123 2 years ago 12
@qwertyplay123 yeah i hear u dude but if they found problems im stoked they are gonna deal with them now aye, all good things take time aye?
adamuchan 2 years ago
Why will it get interesting? They're not meant to be each other's direct competition. The 787-10 might invade the A350 XWB's domain, but it hasn't even been officially announced. Both planes will be great, and I intend to happily fly on both.
scaremenga 1 year ago
LIKE U SAID THEY BOTH MAKE GREAT AIRCRAFTS.
guitarplayerforu 1 year ago
@qwertyplay123 I am bothered A350 stole compsoite wing design from Boeing 787. Airbus is 4 nations who have ganged up on Boeing .AB uses dirty business tactics, AB CEO said we will build USAF Tanker below costs to put Boeing out of business. Airbus has bitter taste of crow in its mouth cuz they lost USAF Tanker Contract to Boeing + General Electrics new GEgennex engines will only be available to Boeing. Airbus + EADS has learned these R American Jobs + USA is not Europes employment agency.
LottoWinner999 1 year ago

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do we love flying?
(2) Why do we always want to build new aeroplanes?
(3) Why do we think that working together is so improtant for building and designing an aeroplane?
(4) Why does a culture of diversity so important for the designing process of new aeroplane?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)
applesweeter 2 years ago
Well, I don't really want to debate here, what's important is "THEY MUST BOTH FLY PEOPLE SAFELY" I don't care about technologies or crap, I won't take it home after flying anyway.

lilblitz 2 years ago
@lilblitz
That's probably just because it's a new plane. It's not crap, all the newest of things develop problems sooner or later. What matters is that they get it right eventually.
qwertyplay123 2 years ago
I hope neither airbus or boeing is better than the other... if they are both the same, then they will always be motivated to push the envelope on developing new technologies and planes.

wow airbus and boeing are on war to see who has the best. 787vs A350

They are both great companies... but i prefer airbus just because it's European, and because all of the airbus planes I've been on were better than boeing... but a lot of boeings I've been on were very old.

Did Mercedes invented the first motocar?
So? Yout hink they copied BMW?
clccchucky 2 years ago
@clccchucky not with the design, every plane must have their unique feature. This is some sort of a RIP-OFF of the B787. If they designed their aircraft more differently then why would anybody else react? Maybe they'd copy the windows too. Who's the real holder of the trademark anyway?
danielcarlostan 2 years ago
The A350 and the 787 have a lot in common. Both of them use Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic, and both utilize the same engines the Rolls-Royce Trent.
Both of them have the same operating costs, and can beat the crap out of the 737s and A320s, because there maintenance is also the same as the 737 and A320.
But if you want seating you will go with Airbus, if you are American then they will buy Boeing.
CALanceGokongwei 2 years ago
@CALanceGokongwei i'm British and i'd opt for boeing rather than airbus, airbus would be my last resort or if they brought summat out that was outstanding!
