Haha good observation Galileo, but there's a difference between a song and a groove. If I said "somewhere" would you assume that I was singing "somewhere over the rainbow"?
i couldn't say yes or no, i would lean more towards no. but music is all about breaking boundaries and being unique, and hey you may be able to make it work!
Is that the GP percussion model? The bass sounds pretty decent. That is the cheapest cocktail kit out on the market now, too bad they don't ship out of the US..
Yes it is. It's a fun little kit. I did need to work on the batter head on the bass drum for a while to get a decent sound out of it while still keeping the top head sounding good. Got it on Ebay $235.00
Here I thought from the pictures on your MySpace site that it was a Rockabilly" type of set-up. I guess I'll have to bring along "Lucille" instead of the Gretsch ... much more sophisticated! Great stuff!
the sound is awesome..your demo has just convinced to buy one, used , for 200$..great playing !

I think it's "Take Five" by the Dave Brubeck Quartet, hence the name

well is there anything else playing? because it does not sound like it. but he is playing with five quarter notes per measure.

I think he's just improvising along with it, because the beginning sounds exactly like it

Hello, This is just the sound I'm looking for. I like the deep color and not too sparkley.. Can you indicate the brand? Thank you.

this would be the kind of set to use like Shawn Crahan and Chris Fehn of Slipknot, it's more of a percussion kind of thing bro.

Have you played the new Trixon or HB kits? I'm looking to buy one, but it's hard finding much experience with these kits.
BTW- what kind of brushes are you using?
clrizz 3 years ago
They're a highbread stick called lightning rods.
chefofluv 2 years ago
Those are Rocket Rods made by Pro-Mark.
