I know of a pastor who proclaimed the gospel,but after that he said he had a testimony of a man who met Jesus and then saw his wife (he just lost his wife) surrounded by white light and that it was confirmation that she was in heaven. He said this with his voice shaking a little, and it seems to me he found that more of a proof of Christ was real, and taking the word as second. It really bothered me.

I whole heartedly agree though, that ALL things must be scrutinized by scripture... it's spiritual suicide to trust everything that comes along and not test it.
