Just to be clear. Its a dutch accent that he has in the movie. I loved it since im from holland. And it makes sense that he has a dutch accent... In the movie your hear them say "tot ziens" on a awnsering mashine. Witch means good bye. And a few other dutch words later on. It just sounds a little weird. Probably cuz hes from afrika. Jan Smit (some dude in the movie) is a dutch name too :).

Hmm well I'm from Holland too, you could say this is a dialect like Nedersaksisch or Fries. I know, I know it is a language on it's own, but the only thing he meant that it sounded like Dutch so he made an example of it like it was a dialect. I like his character in this movie, hes not your good looking "Cruise/Brad Pitt" type, but a very unlikely hero. Very real, hes even geeky at first. I love his accent, S-African very funny when he swore, and said certain things. Top notch performance especially for his first film.
