I actually was a singer in both VGL concerts in calgary and i was EXTREMELY dissapointed that we didn't do this piece again :( I loved this one so much!

I went to the Montreal VGL on the 8th of Feb. It was awesome. Indeed Baba Yetu is one, or not the best song from the concert. I thought the soloist was a bit weak.. We could barely hear him. But in all.. a lot of fun. BOught the tickets the day earlier; best decision ever :)

Tommy, the host, actually said, when I went to the Montreal concert, 'I see a lot of read lights (cameras).. post them on youtube, we need the publicity!) lol

This was an awesome concert, glad I went.

What intrigues me is the fact that you got this video, considering the fact that we weren't allowed to bring recording devices into the auditorium.

I was one of the choir, and I can tell you we all enjoyed it immensely - and Baba Yetu was my favourite piece by far - wasn't the tenor soloist fabulous? Whether recording devices were allowed or not, I can tell you that from the stage I could see the lights of more than one recording device pointed at us. It was really neat to hear how we sounded - thanks!

Anyways, yes, I was impressed myself by the tenor soloist (considering I used to take choir in high school as a tenor, and was blown away by the soloist).

And you guys as a choir did an awesome job. Especially on ONE. WINGED. ANGEL!
