nice that was like 10-11 min it took you to beat sauron.im close to beating this game on hard for the first time attempting to pass the game again.Last time when i fought sauron i had eaoden in the fight and remember keeping him for most of the battle because he was the only one in my party immune to Paralysis of Light. Do you know why that is? i didnt really keep track of what moves i used beforehand or what weapon he was equipped with

@brainsbeer5 - Unless you modded your xbox, this game is not backwards compatible for the 360, it can only be played on the first-gen xbox. As for PS3, i do not own one, so i would have no idea.

Darkest Fear is pimp. But it can stopped with (1) Cleanse Shadow (2) Shield of Courage - removes negatives effects (3) Items.

Aura of the Valar is great, but an enemy with Dispel can cancel it. (I think it's that Orc Captain with the lance).

@blackflame100 - Only thing about your advice is what I have stated above. Darkest Fear is not negated whenever you use shield of courage, that only protects against normal fear. As far as I know, Darkest Fear cannot be blocked, only removed via Idrial's Cleanse Shadow

@cshepherd13 Yeah, I know Shield of Courage only blocks normal Fear, but I meant that you can maybe remove Darkest Fear AFTER Sauron uses it, since it says on the game that Shield of C. removes all negative effects. So, basically, Shield of C. is like Cleansing Waters, only with a second ability to block normal Fear. Shield of C. can remove Stun, Paralyze, etc.

@blackflame100 yea the only flaw with aura of the valar is that it CAN be dispelled in battles prior to this one.However... orcs captains who are spirit casters can easily be silenced usually. Im not too sure about the orcs in Pelennor fields but any other level before that...you can stop them from dispelling.

This boss fight never made much sense to me, somehow you just appear at the top of Barad-dûr and then your shooting and stabbing a giant eye that isn't actually Sauron since he doesn't have a physical presence at this point in the story, not to mention if you really were fighting Sauron just standing that close to him would kill you like it did to Gil-Galad.

In the books apparently sauron is not a lidless eye a top a tower. He stares out a window from a top barad dur.

If the films said at some point the eye isn't saurons spirit itself and was his window to observe the world and that he was inside barad-dur then this last fight should of been inside or a top barad-dur but against the sauron we see in the prologue, and maybe he transforms into the eye to do a power occasionally :P.

morgul decay(in item section)gets rid of armor completely

@dyeoreyekiwlyou that's good advice, only one problem. Shield of courage does not work against Darkest Fear, so you just have to use Idrial's cleansing shadow to remove that.

I have played this game a lot I have played throw it now 6 times and my record of game play when I was at Sauron the last time the time was 5 hours don't ask how I did all the game on 5 hours I just don't know my self I guis I jut like geek played that time :D

With all the cinemas and everything, it is impossible to beat the game in 5 hours. Unless you have video proof, no cheats/hax, then im very skeptical. My best time was 9 hours just as an fyi. The best i have seen is 8 on a speed run on Easy.

You get them at the end of almost every battle. If you run around in circle's near a save point and battle constantly, you will get very high skills/levels/items very rapidly.

Wow, you see, I got up to the Sauron fight, but I keep getting my ass kicked. I never completed it because my disc got scratched to fuck, but now its near christmas, I think I might get teh game again. ;)

I had most of the spirits powers of hadhod and idrial before I went into Moria, so it's gonna take the piss training them again, but ohh well, 2 weeks shud do it. :)

2. There is only one knight in the party, the others are a sorceress, warrior, a royal guard member, a dwarf, and a ranger.

3. Sauron is not considered a 'god' of Middle Earth, simple a very powerful figure that is a shadow of a previous 'god' type figure, Melkor of Morgoth.

Besides, its not about what happens in the movie/game/tv show, its about the message. The one in this series was good always trumps evil.

Idrial has low HpP because i equipped her with a Cracked, Polished, and Ancient Elfstone of Spirit Enhancement. Also, this was a speed walkthrough, as i was attempting to get all the boss battle on video without traveling on my good account, and making the battle as accurate as possible. Either way, i beat Sauron, why does the level matter??
