  • You don't play the signs in disc golf. Par doesn't really matter. Just your score.

  • @villhaven and anyone else still trumpeting that par doesn't matter, you obviously don't know much about the sport. But as long as you're happy that's great! You are correct that it is your score that matters, but in relation to what? In relation to . . . what other people are scoring, which gives you a measure of the difficulty of the individual holes and the entire course, and hence your own performance on it. Sounds like another version/definition of par to me.

  • wish they would keep recording for more reaction time..thats the best part.

  • I've seen this shot before but you got great angle on it.

  • @Diesel - your world is limited then. It's a joke to categorise a 100ft hole in the same level of difficulty as an 800ft hole. The par is just that, a measure of the difficulty, and the average number of strokes for a pro player to complete the hole. Check out the PDGA document on their site: Par Guidelines Based on Skill Level, Hole Length and Foliage Density. Live a little, learn a little, and respect a little.I imagine you get triple bogeys on your 800ft par 3 holes pretty often huh?

  • @CicusMan I live in Bowling Green, KY and most people say count all holes as par 3's, even from the Pro tees. Do they do that in PDGA events or do they determine par by the signs?

  • @gamergeek3000 PDGA events do indeed list the par of each and every hole on the course(s). I have been to Worlds, European Championships, and numerous other PDGA events. Every single hole has it's own par mainly based on distance, and as previously defined "the average number of strokes for a pro player to complete the hole". It also depends on the course, there are lots of courses that just don't have any par 4s or 5s, as all the holes are too short . . .

  • well its not your world, and just because you cant handle a par 4 means you should shut up and say wow great job climo. par 4 and par 5's are going to revolutionize the sport.

  • @kidpunked

I would imagine he can handle the par "4's and 5's" if he, in fact, is giving himself fewer strokes to get there by making everything a par 3. I always thought tournament play called for nothing but par 3's as well. Also, for the record, Diesel, you can have an eagle on a par 3 if you ace it.

  • im my world of disc golf there are no "eagles" we play par three everything ! no matter if it's 100 ft or 800ft .... par 4 is a joke

  • Thanks for posting this! You don't see 2's on that hole very often. I would have liked to have seen more of the crowd reaction after the shot but at least someone got it on video! Great job!

  • @BullseyeDiscGolf More than one got it on video. There's another floating around calling it a "fairway ace" although, it clearly is an eagle.
