Twilight... Seriously? Okay they are are thousands of better vampire based books, movies and tv shows why the heck go with twilight? THe big reason is THEY AREN"T EVEN VAMPIRES!!! Vampires do alittle thing known as BURNING in the sunlight, not sparkle! Meyers had best be thankful vampire arn't real or they would probably kill her for portraying them as such weaklings!

If she wanted to make them up she should actually give them a name and not just use vampires. She could call them what they are, which would be thralls. Because not only do vampires burn, they are not as drawn to human blood as shown in the film because if they where every vampire would be a mass murderer which means the human population would be down, the vampires greatest strength is to hide. Thralls however are drawn to human blood like shown in the film, thralls sparkle in sunlight.

A love story? That brigde was only crossed but Buffy the Vampire Slayer a long time ago. Not original. I would use my imagination, but say you got a cat, no matter how much that cat says its a dog, it's a cat. The creatures from Twilight portray thralls perfectly, but they don't portray vampires. So you got a thrall, and they are saying they are vampires but they arn't. Now I will say Twilight is not the worst movie I've ever seen, it was just overhyped. (The worst movie I've seen= The Watchmen)

It's not classical vampirism is complicated but it all does make sense (Note I've written I don't know how many reports on it, and I am currently writing a book about it which if all goes well will be out by the end of the summer)

A thrall is a distant relation to a vampire. This gets hard to explain, and I can't do it in under 500 characters.

I'm not angry. I'm just annoyed. I just incredibly dislike Twilight, because the story is unoriginal and the creatures in Twilight arn't even vampires. I am writing my own book by the way. Currently all I need is a publisher.

@StevieStarburst, except it isn't original, it's a poorly-written smut novel minus the sex. People like it because of the shameless purple prose and the relatable characters (and wishing they could have a "great" boyfriend like Edward). There's nothing original about her interpretation on vampires; they're the exact same thing you see in every hollywood movie about them, only she changes some minor details. Original? No. Shameless pandering to an audience that accepts mediocrity? Yes.

@punkkillah1288 Think Dracula. Dracula had coffins, fangs, no venom. Of course it's not a smut novel. Nothing happens, except in the last. Even so, nothing happens then, either. Her interpretation of Vampires is everything vampire-esque, without Coffins, Fangs, etc. Her characters are relatable; yet, Bella is too much of a mary-sue. o.e Besides her and how she keeps mentionng how Edward is so 'flawless'. >.> Anyway, it's a good series if you give it a chance.

No coffins and no fangs are minor changes. Same with their reason why they don't go out at night. Basically, Meyer took away any and all downsides to being a vampire. It doesn't make them more interesting, it's just too idyllic and boring. I said it was a smut novel not because of the sex, but because of the style of writing. Look in any romance novel and you'll see that the same cheesy purple prose in Twilight is also used in almost every single one. Only most are better-written than Twilight.
