Point made. Not only didn't we boo the Star Spangled Banner, we proved that we even respect our neighbours enough to know the words to their national anthem.

they sang the american anthem because the americans booed the canadian anthem when they played in carolina during these finals. correct me if i am wrong.

Lol that's how it's done! Just a thought. all these guys should have been flown down to Texas for the superbowl. Might have had to buy a couple thousand cases of beers for every one. But we got the words right! Loud and proud and give respect to ur neighbors. The way it should be done.

I remember this well, we seen it, heard it, and returned the favor in the RBC center with O Canada. After suffering the Buffalo fans in the EC finals, it was too bad someone had to lose that series. Oil fans were the class act, and had a great time with people who traveled to Raleigh all the way from Edmonton and other points. Your welcome in Raleigh anytime, great fans.

At least CBC/TSN show enough respect for both Canadian/U.S. anthems to broadcast them; in the U.S., Versus/NBC don't show the anthems until the Stanley Cup Finals, if then. Great job, CBC/TSN.

You'll never see this in the U.S. I've lived in the U.S. my whole life, and sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one who knows both anthems and can sing the Canadian one in French, too.

I'm just glad it won't be long now until hockey season starts.

@ICOboeHockey hey i'm right up there with the anthems bro. I'm a canadian/american living in the US and i've actually been asked if canada has its own anthem.... I mean really??
