All the scriptures were inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16). Every single person who wrote a book in the bible was guided by the Holy Spirit. I am not sure if you are familiar with the Holy Spirit but that's why I trust it personally. We can also test the bible by applying its principles e.g. Matthew 5:33 where it is written "Do A and God will give you B". That is the principle I used.
