Hi, I am a professional online expert at producing leads for realtors and I would like to invite you to one of my LIVE classes happening this saturday. I will be showing you how you and your office can get a ton of leads of prospects in your town looking to buy a new home. If you can make it to the class, please go here and RSVP.. thx
LOL...obviously, this is a dated site considering that realtor.com does offer social media stuff. i would hardly call paying for marketing your listings "unethical" and it's not this real estate website, or any other website for that matter, that is holding your clients "hostage". the tough part about being a realtor, besides the market, is that you are not an employee, but a business owner. as such, YOU are responsible for any and all marketing of yourself, your services, and your listings.
Realtor.com is nothing but a big suck for free. In the beginning I knew it was the beginning of the end of MLS as we used to know it just as the mls organizations gave buyers brokers same access to buyers information that used to be private seller information.
I am unhappy with the REALTORS and realtor.com, of the past 4 out of 4 homes I wanted to put a contract to buy, all claim to have contracts, but 3 months later some how they are still forsale?? WTF It's all a scam. When i do get the realtor they are like I will send you similar listings, OK, I get them and they are CHIT compared to the LEADER on realtor.co, your all a bunch of HUCKSTERS.
the truth about REALTOR.com: ALL listings are a direct pull from the MLS. NO OTHER website has that ability. There are 4 photos posted standard, & to "enhance" gives you up to 25. But also adds your personal contact info and branding, linking all your listings together. Realtor.com has a FaceBook app AND an iPhone app. Get your info right. Your properties are present and accurate for free. If you CHOOSE to market yourself, you can. Now that you are properly informed, you can quit your whining
This site has worked out for both me and my realtor. I am looking to buy a house. I am doing an FHA loan, and on most listing sites, a buyer goes through several blithe houses, wasting both theirs' and the agent's time. Because realtor.com charges, the buyer sees the "better" houses featured on the site, I go see these with my realtor and see I can get an FHA loan for it. I buy the house, realtor makes commission.
There rep told me if I wasn't happy with this product, he could sell it to someone else in one day. However, after they started the program and they made several big mistakes, I told them to cancel it and they said no! I reminded them of their promise and they said, "Just because we said we would sell it to someone in a day, it doesn't mean we’re are going to cancel the contract"
These guys are NOT TRUST WORTHY. It has nothing to do with price.
boo hoo I really think its a good step to eliminate the middleman we need transparent real estate transactions no hidden commisions and ripoff loans seller-to-buyer all the way
To be able to have a place to market your listing where everyone can see it is hugely benefitial. If you don't have this and rely on "social networks" you mentioned, then your listing will have close to no exposure. You slide show does not make sense to me.
YOU are so Stupid! You charge the client 6% or so, then expect your marketing arm to let you keep ALL of it. Give me a break, and give your head a shake!
Realtors provide them with all the listings that make the website successful and useful to buyers. We should not get penalized for that and neither should our customers. Our customer's listings become add space for their profit. They are more interested in selling links & add space than helping realtors sell properties.
This is an unethical & unfair business practice; it goes against us Realtors & we must stand up for ourselves & our customers.
@BoycottRealtorDotCom If Realtor.com made money solely on selling add space and listing enhancements to realtors they would not be the most shopped "CONTENT" based real estate website in the world. Bottomline is, they are the only one's providing up to date listing information, real-time to the public. You should be thanking them for giving you a virtual yard sign for free since you probably have to pay for the real the ones in front of your properties if you have any.
