These are two fabulous talents and I love them both.
Haley certainly has a long way to go to begin to catch up to Adele's incredible achievements - but for this particular song I much prefer Haley's version.
I think her voice brings the song to life in ways that Adele's doesn't quite.

The tracks are actually the exact same length, so this hardly takes any editing. It actually sounds better edited with Haley's track laid over Adele's.

I think that they both sing this song beautifully. Both have great voices. But I think that Haley is better and has special inflections and flavors in her voice that takes it to another level.

Haley's voice is great here but the background music is much better produced for adele. I really love the hard acoustic beats in her version. If you had that in Haley's version it could quite possibly be amazing.

There is a reason Adele is quite possibly the great female singing voice of this generation. I hear Adele and I instantly think of Ella Fitzgerald, Patsy Cline, and Etta James; her voice it truly in that league. But then again, Haley said that she did the studio version in ONE TAKE. That in itself is pretty amazing considering how well she did on the studio as well.
I'm a fan of both and both are very good here. Haley's live performance is much better than the studio version played here. Haley certainly brings more to the songs live. Consider also that the studio version is recorded in less than a week's time from start to finish. No time to develop a 'relationship' with the song's emotion.

I have heard this recording about 10 times, and I still can't decide who's the better singer. For sure, Adele is NOT a better singer than Haley. Adele's voice has a huskier quality, bolder, but Haley's voice has more modulations and I like the way it breaks. I guess it depends on what style you like. I like Haley just a bit more.

Very good !!! Amazing talent, both women are superior talent !! She sounds just like adele, I think Adele would prevail, she just has the perfect raspy voice threw the whole song, but still haley is so dam GOOD !!! And Gorgeouse !!! Adele Is beautiful also !!!!

Haley's voice is great here but the background music is much better produced for adele. I really love the hard acoustic beats in her version. If you had that in Haley's version it could quite possibly be amazing.

There is a reason Adele is quite possibly the great female singing voice of this generation. I hear Adele and I instantly think of Ella Fitzgerald, Patsy Cline, and Etta James; her voice it truly in that league. I hear Haley and I feel like I've somehow been magically transported to a karaoke bar where the local pageant queen is warming up for her upcoming state fair performance..
I truly hope that, for Haley's sake, she isn't gullible enough to buy into all of the hype comparing her to Adele.

I agree, Haley's live performance of this song was better.
But then again, Haley said that she did the studio version in ONE TAKE. That in itself is pretty amazing considering how well she did on the studio as well.

I'm a fan of both and both are very good here. Haley's live performance is much better than the studio version played here. Haley certainly brings more to the songs live. Consider also that the studio version is recorded in less than a week's time from start to finish. No time to develop a 'relationship' with the song's emotion.

I have heard this recording about 10 times, and I still can't decide who's the better singer. For sure, Adele is NOT a better singer than Haley. Adele's voice has a huskier quality, bolder, but Haley's voice has more modulations and I like the way it breaks. I guess it depends on what style you like. I like Haley just a bit more.
