Where did you find this really nice print? Usualy, it's the same bargain basement DVD copy off a beat up 16mm print. You really see what a superb film this is. Thanks for posting

This is probably BFI's restoration. MGM is releasing it on DVD this October.

I think probably this film and Pandora's Box
were the two earliest films that dealt with the Ripper killings, They were just a couple of years apart from each other.

Nice this is Hitch's take on Jack The Ripper
as I recall.
Yes, this film was based on a book that was inspired by Jacks murders.
