I've supported Sugababes for a very long time but must admit that this version is amazing. Had Keisha not been given the shove, Sweek 7, in my opinion, would have been a massive album and this song would have been a dead cert for number 1. I'd love to see a reuinion of Sugababes 2.0 - the best, most edgy and original line-up by far in my opinion. @brendasback Yeah it definitely outsold many of their songs that peaked higher on the charts. There was a LOT of competition that week especially with x factor as well, they only did one tv promo at the time, a lot of drama and negativity with lineup overshadowed the single release, and hatred towards the group with keisha not part of the group anymore. If none of that happened it definitely would have sold a lot more and charted higher - and its a wicked track!!
To be honest I don't hear the difference much... And Heide and Amella didn't want to leave Keisha for nothing.... If they're happier with Jade so am I....

Jade's version sounds so run of the mill. Keisha's version makes it sound like an amazing SUGABABES song. I have tried so hard to accept the new line-up but I'm sorry, Keisha's voice together with Heidi's is what kept their music recognisable to all music listeners, Heidi alone is not enough. keisha and mutya gave a very original sound to the group. when mutya went solo the group lost a part of its unique sound.. now without keisha they have become like every other group... you can't recognize anymore a sugababes song just hearing the voices (it the past you could...)

I think the recent media attention with the Sugababes and the ever changing line up has made people reminisce about the original Sugababes, and lets face it, Overload is an absolute classic! Run for Cover and New Year are fab too. Bring back Mutya, Keisha and Siobhan!!!

@brendasback Yeah it definitely outsold many of their songs that peaked higher on the charts. There was a LOT of competition that week especially with x factor as well, they only did one tv promo at the time, a lot of drama and negativity with lineup overshadowed the single release, and hatred towards the group with keisha not part of the group anymore. If none of that happened it definitely would have sold a lot more and charted higher - and its a wicked track!!

i underestimated Keisha while in the sugababes but her vocals on this track are ace and it goes to show the Sugababes are no longer!! best line up : Heidi, Mutya and Keisha. i bought the new album and heard get sexy with jade and i really dont like it! im longer a fan and the group sounds bland without kieshas deeply soulful deliciously sundrenched vocals

Siobhan = The girl who wasn't in it for long enough to count as a true sugababe
Mutya, Keisha, Heidi = True Sugababes
Amelle = fits into the band. But not as well as Mutya did
Jade = The girl on eurovision who would of done better and earned more if she stayed solo.

Jade's version sounds so run of the mill. Keisha's version makes it sound like an amazing SUGABABES song. I have tried so hard to accept the new line-up but I'm sorry, Keisha's voice together with Heidi's is what kept their music recognisable to all music listeners, Heidi alone is not enough. It makes me so sad to be writing this :-(

I like Jades version, But Keisha wins by a mile. Keisha was kicked out at the wrong time. If they had released Keisha's version of this then i think this song would of got into the top5. Sweet7 would of done a lot better if Keisha was still there

keisha and mutya gave a very original sound to the group. when mutya went solo the group lost a part of its unique sound.. now without keisha they have become like every other group... you can't recognize anymore a sugababes song just hearing the voices (it the past you could...)
nevertheless I love sweet 7 :-)
I think it would have been even better with keisha's voice, this song is the proof...

Yes I agree that Keisha gave the group a more unique sound. I think it is called the Sugababe sound.
I love her voice and her version of this track.
She's a great live singing. Very solid and doesnt have to over do it.

I don't think people have only started thinking about Overload MartinK777. I think the recent media attention with the Sugababes and the ever changing line up has made people reminisce about the original Sugababes, and lets face it, Overload is an absolute classic! Run for Cover and New Year are fab too. Bring back Mutya, Keisha and Siobhan!!!

I think Jade is very good, but listening to this version, I do prefer it!
I just think keisha gave the band the 'unique' sound that it now doesnt have. Its a shame she has gone but we have to move on all the same!

Once Heidi had joined! :) Add the fact that she's gorgeous and has an amazing silky singing voice, and Heidi Range is a bona-fide Sugababe.

Mutya Keisha n Siobhan SOLD S-O-L-D their name to the dischography. its not their name anymore, n Heidi is a better member than siobhan by far, same goes for Amelle vs Mutya, Amelle owns. And we can clearly see that Jade is a better singer than Keisha, maybe u r right n they shdnt b sugababes since they r better than the original ones :)
