@Tightey88 Actually, with small dogs like that, their bodies are so light, that holding their tail isn't going to do any damage. In the show ring, handlers will actually pick up toy dogs and some terriers by their tails, the dogs don't mind as long as you do it near the base of the tail. If you were to pick up a dog by the very tip of it's tail it would hurt.

Many terriers's tails are supposed to be heavy duty, as they were used to pull the dog backwards out of fox holes!
