I personally hate xmods. Cause I bought two of them and a whole shit load of upgrades, about a year ago. I've done my best to work on them and everything. But neither of them work. I'm missing a sideskirt for my scion. And my truck is missing the antenna. I put an awd kit on the scion but the wheels wont even turn. The parts are so small on these fucking things you just lose everything. And the instructions suck so bad.

are your batteries low ? i use energizer rechargable AAA batteries they are long lasting,powerful ( gives lot of speed and power ) and also rechargeable :D a little expencive but totaly worth it :)

@Catz0125 you shouldnt get those rechargable batteries from the store, because in a year or 2 the liquids start oozing out. what you should get are, R1WURKS professional aaa batteries. when i got them they made my xmod go flying into the streets.it added at least 7mph to my top speed. you can get these batteries in atomicmods.

i just bought the r8 yesterday night from radio shack its my first xmod i was realy surprised to find it . i never seen it exept on the internet because i live in egypt :) radio shack had only two: r8 and mustang so i had to get the r8 i havent learnd to drive it yet so can u post a vid or help me somehow ? thanks

In this vid i have AWD. But currently i have AWD (obviously), Ball bearings (not the Radio Shack ones that rust easily), Headlights, Ground effects, stage 2 (soon to upgrade), lowering kit, & wider rear wheels (comes with lowering kit)

Just a tip: If you want to do long drifts without spinning out, you can always put the steering range to the lowest on your controller... =D Try it, it's fun!!!

@camarofix That was actually all the space I had. All else is rug, so I have a very limited space to drift... but I drive outside most of the time on my street! (we don't have that many cars on our street)

@50sforall These used to be sold at Radio Shack, but have sadly been discontinued :(. But you can find them on eBay. Xmods International is a website that sells xmod parts and cars, but most of their parts are out of stock. Try Atomicmods too! they have good parts.

Unless you do what I did.......get a

60,000rpm engine >=D, if anyone ever try's this, don't blame me if ur car over heats cuz i did it for a very short period of time...like 10 mins, if you wanna do it for a long time, ur gonna have to cut extra holes in ur shell =/

also does anyone know which is better electrical tape or foam on the tires for drifting not sure please help!

in my opinion i think electrical tape is pretty good but i recomend you not use either if you only have 1 set of tires if you have 2 sets i would just use electrical tape the reason why i said 2 sets is because if you wanna take off the tape the tires become all sticky and if you want good handeling its good but not slippery

The tape just helps it drift but what makes it rely drift is a awd all wheel drive in it but the tape helps it slide

Well... it depends on what surface you race on - outside or inside. If you race inside, definitely lower it. If you are outside, consider lowering it. The kit is great, because the kit comes with the wider rear joint cups, which widen the rear wheels for more grip. Try it!

.. for beginners this speed is actually fast, yes if you have had experience with bigger and faster r/c cars like an upgraded hpi micro nirto rs4 or the original electric micro rs4,then sure upgrade it, but not everyone buys these to race, people buy these, because it is fun
