  • fué extraña la primera vez que vi el video... me dieron muchos escalofríos, lo encontré buenísimo :) Grande Bjork.

  • to co robisz bjork jest piekne. nigdy wczesniej nie widzialem takiego clipu....

  • Fantastic great video work

  • I didn't understand a thing she said but it's just so hypnotizing

  • @MaskFaceDude Wow! For some reason your Shiite interpretation of the song didn't occur to me. There I was listening to the lyrics and thinking it was an autobiographical song. D'oh! Silly me, I thought it was about Björk's rejecting her own particular cultural comforts and conventions, and instead undertaking the uncertain search for the timeless truth within. Laughable in hindsight. It's all so clear now, I feel so moronic! I'll be checking hair and counting legs next time, to be sure.

  • It's so awesome how she makes a river by digging around a spring, then nobly leads the yaks on a wild adventure to get them safely down the river! <3

  • When I listen to the lyrics of this song, the first thing that comes to mind is "Ignorance is bliss"...In a sense that she's not gonna conform to a certain type of orgin. She'd rather be in the unknown and embrace it rather than conforming to the known adapting to the ways of a certain orgin because she doesn't like them...It's kinda like ignorance is bliss, but without any ignorance...if that makes sense. That's just my opinion of this song.

  • I think this movie was about how much a person can ride buffalos this time after 9/11. Once Bjork was just in my heart I found this song to be amazing and now I'm confident in her career.

  • She's talking about a society that represents all fundamentalist societies today such as areas in the middle east dominated by Shariah law that have a heavy connection to god that annoys her by taking too much of her time, and have a ridiculous list of rights and wrongs such as wearing odd clothes or not eating certain foods, and she would rather become lost in an unknown land than stay there.

  • @MasterMorty @MaskFaceDude I don't see the connection to the middle east and religion - the only reference to religion is "its habitants seem too keen in god, I cannot stomach their rights and wrongs", it seems more to be to do with being a multi-cultural person not tied down to one 'origin', your 'soul' freed through travel and constantly challenging your comfort zone, rather than to have your soul smothered by a constant craving for comforts, 'nesting'.

  • Hear the footsteps? Can you pattern a spot?

  • love the song but the video is SICK!

  • what's the difference between the 3d and 2d??

  • @silenteyesspy 2 or 3 dimensional. however 3d is only a illusion of 3 dimensions.

  • ........ What the hell just happened..?

  • it looks so unreal :)

  • Bjork, this is my favorite music video. Ever!!!!

  • Quit Björking around reading comments and scroll up! You're missing the video!

  • OMG!

    It's amazing!! :3

    I ♥ Bjork!

  • is im the ionly one who understands the song???

  • @ThePowerofmusic123 No, me too. It's just that most of the people on Youtube are the equivalent of "standard class" as compared to our educational level.

  • @MasterMorty good!!!!

  • @ThePowerofmusic123 tell me what this song is about

  • @jtgober87 I think things should be open to interpretation, so I am not saying this is its meaning for sure, but I always saw it that she was the dragon in the sense that that was a more divine part of herself and through it/her Self the small pond transformed into a mighty river. The buffalo I thought to be her animal side and the dark figure in her backpack her shadow who wanted to discourage her from following the path of the dragon because it led to a dangerous end(the waterfall)

  • @jtgober87 The dark figure to me looked like her, and it was carried like emotional baggage on her back and tried to fight her while she rode the buffallo to this destination she made/the dragon made. At the beginning she is digging in the mud and at the end the dragon does the same to create a new pathway for her in the river.

  • @jtgober87 What its about then, I am trying to say I see it as the telling of an inner stuggle where the past and emotional baggage she carries(people's advice, fear, etc) is trying to keep her from following a potentially dangerous but fulfilling path she desires to follow to an end that is not known but based in inner trust of her intuition to lead her there and her more divine aspect to be waiting for her at the end.

  • @jtgober87 oh that was the video I described, the song I think is about wanderlust haha

  • @jtgober87 i think its about the nature. that we should be carefoul with the nature and also save it!

  • Comment removed

  • Warum benutzt sie das deutsche Wort Wanderlust?

  • @FunWithSexBad Bjork's not an actually, actually. She said in an interview how she's very religious. It's just that she doesn't follow any religion. She has her own religion.

  • Wanderlust, > All of the Lights. Kanye

  • @ADADIZZLE i thought the same thing but how are the 2 related

  • @lawrencewraith Easy Pick up the Horns at 1:33 and filter the drums out while sampling then there you go.

Kanye Hit. LOL I can do a tutorial on my page if anyone really wants to know

  • I wish we could get a higher resolution version of this video on Youtube! :-) Please, Björk my dear.

  • @aesteban Again, incredible video!

  • Awesome! Love her!

  • This video was obviously made for hallucinating. And it really takes the cake in that department amirite

  • That shit on her back is scary and creepy...wtf..the rest is nice i guess

  • o_o this is brilliant

  • I would like to comment on MaskFaceDude post and just say that his analysis of this beutiful piece of music was truely amazing and should be respected. Its not like kyle and scotty wrote this at all.

  • it's great this awesome song got such an interesting video

  • i never trust in rocks on the coast again !

  • I like the buffalo monsters. :)

  • Hi my name is LSD. Yes this is a really great production!

  • Reminds me of Princess Mononoke. Brilliant visuals!

  • @weirdshapes Or "Neverending Story" :)

  • buffalos are cute i want to ride one :c

  • Thanks for making this, ^..^

  • 3:55 is my favorite

  • @MaskFaceDude That's a beautiful analysis. I was thinking something along the same lines, but you helped put into words the exact point that björk was tryinng to make. Bravo.

  • really, I think Björk was showing us how The Suni and Shiite can still get along besides their differences. Her yellow how and her two legs contrast starkly from the four legs and brown heads of the buffalo, and yet they manage to move together down the river, surviving its twists and turns.

Really beautiful - you show us how we should act Björk!

  • Kanye Sampled this for "All of the Lights"

  • Uff, videazo!!

  • FANTASTIQUE!!!

  • FANTASTIQUE!!!

  • Gagas got nothing on this!!!

  • Wow this music makes my head feel weird. I like it

  • look at this on dmt!!! lol trust me!!!!

  • Ó Björk, þú ert mjög vitleysing!

  • Wanderlust in 2D is superb. Wanderlust in 3D is extrasuperb. you have to see it!

  • god every single video is like a work of art...

  • kinda reminds me of the never ending story...

  • the beginning, is it sampeled by kanye west?

  • @jordiilammers I doubt that, but the song was a collaboation with Timbaland. You can hear it through the beats.

  • @coolhamid1 It sounds like the beginning of All Of The Lights.

  • @jordiilammers Exactly. Timba ain't THAT far off from Kanye and you've seen where the collaboration part comes in, right? :)

  • @coolhamid1

    no, that's not correct

  • @TheDullFlameOfDesire That the song was a collaboratio.....oh, dear. SIlly me, aaah, sorry. I just realized. There were three tracks he had a finger in, I know "Earth Intruders", "Hope" and "Innocence". Daarrrrn, ofc this can't be one, too, in that case. Pardon my faultiness.

  • Reminds me of LittleBigPlanet.

  • she is so incredibly awesome

  • Initially the characters & landscape were compelling, mysterious & beautiful. But the music, initially charmingly "alien", becomes boring with repetition. The same problem the water/river effect has. You wasted a spectacular beginning; falling back on hack tricks & dull repetition. (NOTE: the "clay water creature" seems part of another work. That said, I look forward to your future pieces. Let go of the trite and soar with totally original & integrated artistic ideas.

  • Looks like a Tom Schole painting.

  • Fucking amazing.

  • i want to have the yellow gloves as well ))))

  • people watching this video on lsd would fuckin lose their mind

  • @biotoxin21 Lol, they would think they were hallucinating but it's real. :)

  • @biotoxin21 I lose my mind by just watching it(without lsd)

  • @biotoxin21

Drugs are really funny I like to comment about drugs and make people laugh because they're so funny.

  • Trippy... @_@

I think I'm gonna watch something like this while high :Þ

  • April fools!

  • This video shows my life up until now

    and hopefully my future aswell

  • Bjork has some nice legs <3 ;b

  • What the fuck did I just watch?

  • Everyone is acting like Bjork is crazy. She made the SONG. Encyclopaedia Pictura made the video.

I love the way the instrumental at the begining is the end of 'Earth Indruders' on the album.

  • One Word: Illuminati.lol

  • @KingofOnesSelf1 That shit's no joke

  • Sure, the video has some themes to it, but those who are acting like they totally know what's going on is full of shit.

  • Sounds like kanye west sampled the horns for his all of the lights song.

  • she knows how to travell to parallel universes for this video is much too obvious to be of unterrestrial origin...

  • I feel at home Whenever the unknown surrounds me I receive its embrace Aboard my floating house Wanderlust! relentlessly craving Wanderlust! peel off the layers Until we get to the core Did I imagine it would be like this? Was it something like this I wished for? Or will I want more? Wanderlust! from island to island Wanderlust! united in movement Wonderful! I'm joined with you Wanderlust! Can you spot a pattern?
  • I am leaving this harbour Giving urban a farewell Its habitants seem to keen on God I cannot stomach their rights and wrongs I have lost my origin And I don't want to find it again Whether sailing into nature's laws And be held by ocean's paws Wanderlust! relentlessly craving Wanderlust! peel off the layers Until we get to the core Did I imagine it would be like this? Was it something like this I wished for? Or will I want more?
  • Bjork believes in god?

  • GREAT PV!!!

  • ...I thought I was sober atm, but having watched this, I am reconsidering.

  • Why is she so awesome?

  • Finally a video that does color correcting the RIGHT way. Not like that highlited neon fruity looking crap, why else would it be called Color Correction for crying out loud?

  • Incredible.

  • A life of adventure and fluidity not held back by an anchoring point. Curiosity with means and will. Always reaching for things unknown. This appetite will never die. She will die before she explores all that she wishes. This song really is poetry. I admire her courage and breeze-blown life, though I do not believe it would blow over so well with me. I'm imaginative and curious, but not on her level. At any rate, it's a great idea well represented through song. The Ratatat remix is also great.

  • Ela morre e vai pro céu? =S

  • i'd kill for BJORK and this is another reason why...

i glad we have similar imagination :] <3

  • @andybondoir18 killing is not cool nore would you have the reason to kill even if you knew bjork which would never happen to begin with because she is a goddess

  • @AudioAstronaut5000 its just figure of speech... i saw her upclose at cochela and live and if i could i would meet her because i have conections from fashion designers. and ur rite shes a goddess.

  • so beautiful <3

  • I adore most of her music, but this song makes me sad.

The video makes sense to me, in my own way.

  • This is so GORGEOUS.

  • still one of my favorite videos ever, homegirl's art is hot...

  • Björk is a Juck Norris of Art!

Seriously, every damn song is the one best song in the world...

  • how does she continually pitch these ideas to backers and have sucess? imagine the meeting, her explaining the concept via story board and then asking for large sums of money. Who the fuck approved it? hhahaha. All and all...Genious!

  • This is weird just for the sake of being weird..

  • @nitsudg why cant you people accept that you just dont get it.

  • Hot Bjork on Bjork action.

  • BJORk NO ONE Like her!!!!

  • this would be a hell of a video game.

  • what can you really know?

  • ?...

  • Wow.

  • Cara, tenho um medo fudido desse clipe.

  • Stupid Retaereds

  • Guys this video isn't that abstract. it’s "Wanderlust" which means the desire to wander. I think the thing on her back is her past and all that stuff about her that she wants to leave, but it won't. At the beginning she says "I've lost my origin / I don't want to find it again". so this song is about someone leaving their past. The guy with the yellow hands I think is God. he carved a new path (divine intervention). then bjork unites with her past and her culture, and together, they find God.

  • @robinheil I think I agree with you. :)

  • @robinheil Oh...

  • @robinheil Man that's deep

  • @robinheil But Bjork's atheist

  • @isanorhadi yeah, well, so am I if that means anything! lol

  • @isanorhadi god could be representative of one finding peace within themselves maybe. finding your centre. ?

  • @isanorhadi I'm not sure she's an atheist. In the technical sense, yes she is, but she believes in nature, she believes in a natural order I suppose. So the God would represent this mother nature character.

  • @robinheil

Great interpretation. About the thing from her backpack: I'm polish and we even say "bagaż doświadczeń" which google translated as "wealth of experience", but it actually means "luggage of experience" so it fits perfectly :)

  • @robinheil Oh really i just though that it was a twisted dimension in which there are constant boat horns, cats the size of trucks, spaghetti water, lava man likes to rape icelantic girls on the back of buffalos. All while on acid. But of course thats just what i made of it.

  • @robinheil it's been stated by the makers of the video that the guy with the yellow hands is a water spirit and the setting is meant to be prehistoric and pagan influenced.

  • @robinheil . . . God finds her

  • @robinheil Nice explanation =D

  • @robinheil It's not God. She mentions how “I am leaving this harbor [...] its inhabitants seem too keen on God”—and, later on, “sailing into nature's laws / and be held by ocean's paws”.

It is a god, it seems, or some sort of spirit, but a water god. Not God from any monotheistic religion.

  • @Johnny123456789x I say "God" sort of loosely. God means many things to many people!

  • @robinheil I know, but capitalised like that it instantly sounds like the Christian one, especially when you say things like “divinne intervention” which are stock Christian terms—plus, with the Mongol aesthetics in this video it becomes obvious it's a water god of some sort, so it seemed weird that you said “God”. Just saying.

  • @robinheil B's an atheist, actually.

  • @FunWithSexbad doesnt mean she still doesnt pull inspiration from mythologies and gods and goddesses, you can be an athiest and still see gods as allagorys

from what i've heard hindu's have gods but dont think they exist they use them as teaching tools and for fables

  • the water is a morphogenic field...Water has its own memory, that's kymatica.

  • @29micia Your really smart ;)

  • Then, she falls, united to the other creature now urresponsive...and the flow like a warmhole brings them into the hands of the creator...So there is not only a way to get to the...core...who can say which is the best way to get there....

  • when she finally moves and gets to the Creator, the gigantic being he observes indifferent, but with a single move it controls the direction of the water and as a projection of her starting intention he changes the direction of the flow digging a sort of a cross-roads. The flow starts another unknown direction.

  • From the backpack it comes a creature which is the other side of a human being, Mind that tries to suffocate all the feelings and istincts to move, go or see in a different way..she fights against this Dualism.

  • There comes The Moment in your life you relize you need to know more, the moment you feel more...and you need to leave the safe harbour( place you live in, people you used to know, job...etc...). So when your consciousness awakes, all that was right is now wrong and viceversa. The water , like the stream of conciousness, leads you inside and out of you.

  • @29micia Start reading from here!!!!from bottom to top!

  • I think she is ripping off Avatar: The Last Airbender. First she tries to waterbend and then she rides on a giant bison...

  • Pure magic

  • Holy crap I will never buy this BackPack!!!

  • i have lost my origin.

  • I love this song, but I just can't stand the eye boogers the things have in the video!

  • sounds like kanye sampled this for all the lights

  • Who directed this video¡¡¡¡¡???????????¡

  • The best song on Volta, in my opinion.

  • @JovianSatelite Yeah, I'm a bit confused with the hands at the end as well. I took it the tunnel is her life, which she go through holding her subconscious-shadowself, and at the end of the tunnel (= end of her life? of her travel urges?), well, she find the welcoming hands of yet again the goddish creature (= she thought she was travelling away on a straight line but she just came back to where she was from...). Or something deeper. Or nothing at all. Who knows?

  • i think this whole video is a metaphore for what you have to go through just to fullfill your craving of lust but i could be completely wrong

  • *mind explodes*

    I love it... I think.

  • wait, so there's a 3D version of this?

  • The definition of Wanderlust is a very strong or irresistible impulse to travel.

And so if you go with that, what kind of eager traveler DOESN'T want to travel on a yak down a fast river all in the name of getting away!

  • holy shit i am fucking lost

  • I like this song, and it makes sense to me.

  • thats the thing about art, it's doesn't have to make sense, it's just has to make you feel

  • Who cares if it makes sense or not - it is an amazing experience listen and watch this video.

  • I think this is an unique and awesome song. :D

  • this sucks baddass

  • 4:10 Oh god its like Im fighting Ultros all over again!
