I sure wish my wife would participate in working on my Honda shadow sabra 1100 with me and your bike is real sharp looking forward to seeing it finished
Awesome bike man. I just sold my honda hurricane and looking to get a shadow to convert to a bobber. Any suggestions? How much did it cost you to get from point a to point b on the bike?
my sportster has 35000 on it in 3yrs and starts 1st time every time its reliable ppl say they aint, but they prolly dont maintain their bike. looks awesome dude
very nice man! im dying to do a similar build to my fathers 99 shadow...
currently a bagger... but she would be a sweet bob. have already done intake mod with a couple sizes up on the jets (still a bit lean, but makes GREAT power, just hard starting at times), pipes (may make a new set, 2 into 1 will smooth out the curve in the midrange rpm), turned the timing back about 4 degrees (starts in a snap no matter the weather, no popping on decel). maybe the future will see port and fuel injection.
I like the satin tank, don't know what to think about the white stuff, looks good overall, look nice to throw the odemeter away and grind off the mounts. if yer passing everyone yer going too fast. but it's cool. i dig it. where did you longer cables come from though? been wanting to add these zee bars i got to my 750 but can't find throttle cables long enough....
Hey man great looking bike! i just got a sweet deal on a 97. ???s Your rear fender is the hard tail bolted to some welded mounts on the swing arm? and does it die into the U of the swing arm welded or bolted? I really like how low your seat is, is it a seat pan and your own mounting brackets?
Right on man I agree that it is not super custom build by any means. However I give you an A because for starters you did it yourself and from what I see you did it right so ride on man. Good job
I don't recall you claiming to be a master fabricator so dot listen to the opinionated. I don't know much about the bikes myself. Came across yours while looking up exhausts. Did you rejet your carbs? I ask because that's one thing I keep reading is that everyone who's done an exhaust has re jet the carbs and their idle seems a little smoother than this. Great start to an endless project.
I'm wanting to do the same thing with the rear fender and the seat on my bike,,,,Does anyone out there know what kind of seat setup that is called....email me at tirednmean at gmail . com
Dude I'm sorry, buying a 15 dollar trailer fender and some home depot strip steel to put together a bobbed rear end for your bike is all well and good, but it doesn't make you a master fabricater lets be honest with ourselves. All you need to make that setup is a power drill.some nuts and bolts and a cut off wheel if you want to shape it a little. don't get me wrong I love what you've done with the bike but share the knowledge or the style won't live on.
i had rejetted the carbs. and i dont really know what makes you think that it wasnt running right. i have been building and tuning engines since i was 14. and considering it had been sitting for a week with out running and was dead cold. it was running like it was supposed to be
awesome bike man. My bro has the same shadow and is looking for some way to bob it. I'm gonna' have him check this vid out. thanks for posting it man. nice ride.
that is one bad ass bike, love the ape hanger. can you tell me where to find the front brake and the clucth cable line. im putting ape hanger for my honda too.
The bike looks amazing m8. Really low at the back with the short straight pipes and the apes at the front really gives that oldskool bobberchop look but on a bike thats reliable and smooth runnin'. Its just enspired me to purchase a 750shadow to mod. Great Job!!!!!!!!!
Isn't "classic Honda" an oxymoron? Looking forward to Harley's 105th this year! I'm not a Honda fan at all, but, will say that as far as Hondas go, you did a pretty nice job.
the first honda came out in 48 so no where as old as a harley but still pretty old, but your right classic honda is a bit of an oxymoron, but i appreciate the compliment on the bike.
Very nice build..I just dont like the pullback risers with those bars..But I am not riding it...but a great looking bike!!! I just finished my bobbed 77 FLH and posted it....Check it out!!!!!!
thanks, and i agree with you on the pull back riser, i have some straight ones i just havent gotten around to getting them installed. and very nice bike that you built as well
Did you just remove the mufflers? I just got an '08 and I'm looking to customize the exhaust. If that is how it sounds straight pipe, I might have to do that.
well your certainly welcome to your opinion but being as that i'm part japanese i deceided to style a jap bike, so if you dont like that then dont watch it but i dont need to have some retard white trash ass hole making stupid comments. its not about what you ride its just about riding. besides did you build your bike, or did you buy it all shiny and ready to go. or do you even ride you stupid manko!!!(yeah its jap talk there ass wipe)
oh man, touchy little fella, huh? Take it easy dude, jap-crap is a term that tons of people use and its harmless. Grow some thicker skin (even if it is yellow). Now that was funny.
as of know its just spray paint yes. but will be getting some new black paint via actual paint gun once all mock up is done and graphics are on. but will still be the same flat black
needs a sportster tank and wrap them pipes! but looks great so far! white walls wouldnt look bad on it either.

bro which bike would be ideal for a 6 feet person?, a honda shadow600, 750 or a vulcan?
aerohells07 2 years ago
a 750 would be better,I am 5'9" and I have a vlx 600 that fits me but not my 6 foot friend, but try it before you buy it

I'm 6'2" and ride a 750 Shadow just fine. Of course, the forward controls are extended. But, otherwise it rides me perfectly.
