Look pal, I know you are a believer and so am I. The date Jesus was born is irrelevant. Any student of scripture knows that Christmas is a Pagan holiday. You need to be spreading the gospel! That NO MAN COMES UNTO THE FATHER BUT BY ME! We know the weather was warm in the middle east when Jesus was born, but That isn't the reason for why he came! Quit beating the dead horse, it doesn't matter when he was born. Either you believe or you are condemned! That is the truth, no way around it!!!!
@Ericnfmly i understand your point in terms of the full scheme of things. but try to understand, if it's written in the Word, then it has meaning. and there's more to the story than just Christ's birth. Pat touches on those points as well. furthermore, take notice to some of his other videos. if you stated that all he (christinjapan) talks about was one thing over and over then your comment would hold weight. but thats not the case. this series of videos is just a focus on a particular subject
@Ericnfmly so tell me why are "Christians are So called celebrating Jesus's birth, because of what someone else told them to do? Where in the scriptures do the Lord tells His followers to buy & swap things and tell lies about a "Santa Claus?" The Lord said to have no other God but Him, give, love each other and serve and follow Him with our heart, mind and soul. Its just not about His Birthday. Its about His death and resurrection too! Live for God everyday, not man or Satan.
How you have Jesus B-day on maybe Oct. 21 could that really mean the rapute might be on May 21 and Jesus could come back also on the day/date of his birth?
In the beginning of Christianity there were no Protestants Luther was a German and Santa & the Xmas Tree is German. Nobody knows what year or day Jesus was born. So to cast out the pagans and demons during the winter solstice a time of board-om and misery during the mini ice age. The Pope declared the 25th as the Day of Jesus Christ to cast out the meaning of the pagan gods not to elevate them as opposer's tell you.
i don't think Luke 1:36 proves that Mary has already conceived at this time, because Luke 1:35 speaks of a future event.
Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
It's just the "Shall" overshadow, and also the "Shalt" in this verse -
Luk 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
But Mary went to see Elizabeth, it seems within days of this ( "in those days" Luke 1:39), and Mary had certainly conceived at this time for she says -
Luke 1:49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.
Maybe it's 'ALSO', because she conceived immediately after this.
