Because the foul on Barry was OBVIOUS.
I hope you don't think that the Lakers didn't have some play that should have been called another way at some point in time, changing the whole outcome of the game even if it was in the first quarter.
So don't use a call that no one could really see until replay to defend something as clear as day.

you really think Spurs had a chance in that series?...Spurs are a low free throw team...yet in that series they shot MORE free throws than the Lakers
it would of took ALOT of bias calls for the Spurs to beat the Lakers.
i mean really dude..if that game was Bias in which Spurs shot 7 more FTs...than game 2 of the NBA Finals was down right FIXED!

@MattMisGOD I can't for the life of me understand how excellent teams get the cream of the crop with trades! I know the celtics/lakers trades with Gasol, Garnett, and Ray Allen just don't feel right. I stopped watching the NBA like half a decade ago, but I keep up with the teams and this NBA is no longer exciting nor fair.

Ray Allen + a 2nd round pick (which would be big baby) were traded for the 5th overall pick (sonics had the #2 overall pick as well, which became kevin drurant), plus delonte west and Wally Serbiak (spelling?)
Garnett was traded for 5 players I believe...including Al Jefferson who has the capability of averaging 20-10
Both Seattle and Minnesota were focused on rebuilding so they gave up their star players to do that...Now the Gasol trade...that was BS, fucking GIFT

If Stern is so great why are 10 teams borrowing money from the NBA and why are there teams in mediocre markets like OKC, Memphis and N Orleans. Where's the next expansion gonna be Buffalo,Shreveport? The NBA cities will look more like afl2 cities. Stern was the genius who is running a league that lost Seattle, Vancouver, Charlotte(came back with shitty bobcats) and after moving Memphis and N. Orleans are still having problems. Stern is still looking for a new jordan to piggyback and failing.

I think the NBA is doing just fine entertainment-wise. I mean, go anywhere in the world and you will find lots of people who love basketball. You'll find hoops anywhere, Mexico, China, Africa... And by the way, China verse USA in the Olympics turned out to be the most watched sporting event ever with over a billion viewers!

celtics throughout the eastern conf playoffs got tons of bad calls strethcing their series out to 7 games in both the atlanta and cavs series. the lakers though on the west got through the first 2 rounds with referee aid shooting 15+ more free throws. maybe stern want a tired worn down celtics team to face his favorite rested lakers team for the finals.

The Celtics would have never gone to seven games with Atlanta if the refs played it fair. As for the Cavs, LeBron gets away with every travel and offensive foul to help him get to rim since he can't shoot for shit. Pistons went fair and square to game 6, the Lakers were lucky to have their refs to keep them from getting swept!
