I went through this. Study, practice, approach towards divine "freedom"...decades of it. Spiritual awakening. Then I kept studying. There were things that I didn't understand, and practices I needed help with. I studied with clarity, looking for the rationality behind spirituality. More things didn't add up. It became a choice. How do you know it is "intuition" (true) that talks to you, not pure fantasy? By testing it through science, which is based on reason. When they do, it turns out we may assess more information than we're aware of, but it is not truly revelatory. The other things, ghosts...crop circles are neither proof nor even proven. Under scientific investigation they are found to have no reliable evidence and, as I said, a lot of psychological evidence supports them being illusiory. Wife swap? ;)

I think this awakening has been happening for a very long time. Just look at what hass happened in the 20th century - human rights movements, environmental movements, a merging of eastern and western thought, a public realization of institutional failures, among many other advancements and discoveries of human nature.. all this in combination with the internet which inevitably brings everyone closer is bound to result in a change.. its just a matter of time.
Say what you want about the awakening, but I have been on a journey of awakening since I was 15 and still going in the long run, I have 14-15 year old brothers with friends that are young, but they always have conversations with me about life and why we are here, why the world is the way it is. We almost always have conversations relating to spirituality and the illusion of this reality, and that's evident enough that something is indeed happening to some of us here on earth.
I don't believe in 2012 significance. I do believe there is such a thing called spiritual awakening but most people are simply regressing into mere beasts, primal, primitive, selfish, deceitful and violent. People have always experienced these things. There just was no globalization or Internet before to share the info worldwide. The god of this planet is using people in love to make others suffer, so the generated energy of love is partly transfered to him. Therefore all this power is available to god. Thats the main reason god only shows himself in blessings and spirit, in the mans spirit, to the ones that love. If god would show himself to the ones that suffer, nobody would suffer anymore, so there is no gain to god.

I know the feeling, and of wondering why others are so dull and preoccupied with trivia. However, you can see that the other way, when someone is high on a belief you know is untrue. They then seem not grounded like you, in "trivia". You've gained from the experience, but is it more than brain chemistry?

First of all, I'll be honest here, I clicked on the video because I saw the pretty woman in the video capture, and thought it'd be interesting to hear her speak, no great awakening there.
