"He gown", "This ball game is Ovah" and "Stwretch...Stwretch...Stwretc­h": The 3 reasons I don't watch Sox games. Nothing against him further than that - or the team - but I find those 3 catchphrases to be nails-on-a-chalkboard irritating. I always cringe when I hear them.

Trust me, Sox fans, if he was announcing for another team, you would have a very similar opinion to mine...and maybe not as polite. If he announced for the Cubs you would probably say his phrases sucked.

There are good announcers with terrible phrases, the "He gone" phrase is among the worst ever. It's absolutely terrible, along with the "You can put it on the boooooooard, yeeeeeeee-es!" Awful.
