I bought this product a few months ago. My headlights on my 2003 tacoma had a little haze. I washed my truck the other day and decided to finally use this product. Wow! I found the buffer your using at the .99cent store but i also used some lint free linen sponges. Just a lil goes a long way. Took the bottle to my friend and his lens's were yellow on his 2000 corolla. Wow. We applied it, then let the product sit, then buffed it with a dry buffer/sponge. Great stuff. Especially for the price.
you said you use it every other week and your headlights got that foggy ?...so if i want clear headlights i have to use it that often?? are all restorers like that or just this one?? thanks in advance for your answer
@happee1 Yea well these headlights were about 10 years old. They were beyond repair honestly. And yea almost all rubbing compounds will need to be used over and over. You will need something that takes off the top layer of your headlight if you want it to last. This is just a quick fix. But it's a really good quick fix.
Hey Rob, great vid. How long do the headlights stay haze free? I've read that applying Plexus aerosol spray after cleaning the lights keeps them clear for a year or so. Do you use anything in particular to keep em clear for a while?
Hmm, the Meguire's Headlight Restore Kit comes with a small 6oz bottle of PlastX and a little 3" buffer for the drill. If it works that good with a hand buff, I'm wondering if the kit give even better with it's buffing results.
Or just get the bottle separately and the Mother's brand buffing ball which costs $20 alone!
Oh my God you don't know how to say the best car car product manufacturer of all time? whats wrong with you? Meguiars "It's the shine that's important ". Meguiars is like the Michael Jackson of car cleaning products Its Larger then life!.
For a perfect job you had to hide the body near the plastic and remove the debris of plasticx with a soft microfiber because the paper can cause other swirls.
AWESOME!! I'm so gunna do this to my dad's Corolla 4 him!, My focus' headlights are fine for now but at least I'll know what to do when the start Hazin' ^^ Thanks!
@Robdoggierob yeah its like when you have damaged head lights caused by the sun and you wet them they look new but when they get dry they look like shit again. well with the clear coat, it will give it that permanet wet look like your car's paint...hope that made sense
@Robdoggierob i had piss yellow foggy caravan headlights that had to be replaced since the lights didn't shine on the road anymore... this product raped that yellow haze off and since then i been using it on alot of other cars... some people claim they can get it off without it...i dont mind paying the 9 bucks for this its worth it!
