  • neck shots do it every time

  • Instead of celebrating after the first hit, shoot again. boar can be dangerous. Always double tap and make damn sure they're dead. Some boar will keep running around like mad until they're heart is stopped. I once put 3 shots in a boards chest cavity and it was still running

  • Hell did u find that hog

  • Great vid! Love the snicker after the shot. I use a marlin guide gun in 45-70.

  • wait now that i think about it, are boars and feral hogs the same? cuz if not then that kinda screws up wat i just said

  • i personnaly rather using a .22, but then again the kind of boars i hunted are probably not the same (place/state) or something, i went to south tex with my godfather and got 28 kills with my henry lever action .22, most kills were at about 30-50 yards though and they were spine or brain shots on hogs that were between 80 snd 350 pounds ir so

  • the boar said : I'm Juggernaut Bitch!!!(Ran away)

  • maybe its not the same animal

  • i would love to do that to you and see if you be floppin around like that! just saying or popping a jab square in the mouth~

  • I hate to be that guy,but shoot it again. It's because of thus tree buggers go all ape shot on hunters.

  • get rid of that 30-06 get yourself a 8mm mauser

  • LMAO!!! The hunters faces went from :D to D:

  • Man I can't wait till these hogs make it up to wisconsin

  • Is it true that in the USA there are so many wild boars that someone with a valid hunting license can shoot them at any time of the year?

  • @harbar3000 yep any time of year during deer season or not theres millions of em and they destroy animal habitat

  • @harbar3000 Depends on the jurisdiction. In Georgia on private land, "No closed season; no limit."

  • It's always hard not to laugh when you get a head shot.

  • Dang is that a 30-30 win or a 300 mag

  • Hehe, ive seen it happen before, it pisses you off aye. LOL

  • always remeber this people when a pig or any animal you just shot at expecally pigs dont be stingy with bullets or keep and close eye on em till they stop moving these tips will save you a couple of pigs.

  • @profanum88

Sweden ya that's a country to listen to - crawl back into your euro hole

  • @BaconMeBring

What does that mean in English?

  • You should aim for the neck

  • no pork chops for dinner!

  • did you get it?

  • Cool.

  • super pig.

  • After seeing -with my own eyes- a hog get shot from 40 yards, in the head, with .45 Colt 250 grain lead flat nose from a Uberti 1873, THEN run off like nothing happened - I am no longer comfortable shooting a hog in the noggin. They are just way to tough. Granted, the ,45 Colt was only traveling 900 fps or less, but still it's a hell of a thing to see. Respect to them hogs.

  • @granitecarver I dont think they're laughing at KILLING the animal fool. They're laughing out of excitement. Same way you do sometimes when you have a near death experience or get scared half to death by somebody. Its from the Adrenaline and the relief of hittin the animal. I'm sure they were far from thrill at the prospect of having to shoot it again.

  • @RenegadeArms09 I agree with yah. You might not know Granit but those boars can Fuck u up hard!!! try hunting one maybe you will laugh.

  • LOL... it reminds me of a similar situation I suffered years ago. Shot a large pig with the 308 Win on the shoulder. The animal fell like it was struck by lightning. So I brought the rifle down and started to celebrate. Moments later my jaw dropped as I watch the pig get up and take off, just like this one. I could not believe it. The 30/30 can easily take pigs (at close range). You just have to be ready for a second shot - no matter what caliber you use. I feel for you brother.

  • @profanum88 its a whole different kind of .22 lol

  • Different from what?

  • A knowledgeable hunter will know a head (brain/spine) shot is usually the best for hogs. 30-30 is plenty powerful to kill a hog if you place your shot well. Many folks around here use their AR-15's (5.56 NATO) to kill pigs with 1 shot kills (headshots). It's shot placement that counts.

    Headshot (brain/spine) = killshot, period.

And this is the United States of America, not Sweden. =)

  • well they are not in sweden and 30-30 really good gun for hunting hog maybe thats all he had too.

  • Apparently not, he hit the nose from 50 meters.

30-30 can of course kill a bore, but its not suited for it.

  • @profanum88 30-30 is a nice hunting round for just about everything

  • No its not, its fucking week.

The weakest round allowed here is 6,5 swedish mauser witch is more powerfull. Normaly bore hunters use 30-06 or 9,3x57. That is because pigs are fat and you need a big wound for them to bleed out.

  • @profanum88 well i guess ppl that cant shoot shouldt use it then cuz they are very good hunting rounds

  • You can kill a bore with a .22 lr to, but its not a good choice for hunting.

  • @profanum88 i agree its not a humane round to hunt bore with but a 5.56 or .223 is way different than a normal 22 lol

  • It is a normal .22.

But maybe you think that .22 cal means .22 lr?

  • they do do that...

  • Good vid. I personally use a 30-06 and shoot wild hogs in the head when possible. You just have to make sure you get a good brain shot. A heart/lung shot will kill them for sure, but they will sometimes run off unless you break their spine.

  • talking about 30-06 ... do you know if a Springfield m1903 is legal for deer hunting ... i have one and im dieing to know ...

  • The 30-06 is legal to hunt ALL animals in the USA and your Springfield M1903 will do just fine. Ferrel hogs are not game animals like deer or elk so there aren't as many restrictions on them, but you still do need a hunting license to hunt hogs in most states.

Check out your local state/county laws.

  • thank you .....

  • yeah u can hunt with that gun my buddy uses his all the time on his land and we have to have a hunting license to even hunt hogs here in texas even thoguht they are pest.

  • @deeringdeluxe i know what ya mean. hit one right behind the front legs once and it ran off like nothing happened

  • Boars do that. I've seen many a boar carrion with headshots, even some with either the lower jaw or the upper jaw shot off. Obviously, they escaped the hunt and then died.

Two tips to the fellow hunter: 1- place the shot in the lungs/heart area when you have them broadside, 2- always follow up with a safety shot instead of celebrating with your camera guy :-D

  • 3 - Always try to minimise the suffering of the game.

4 - If your a bad hunter and a stupid sob, dont post it on youtube.

  • @ratbertovich boars have a thick plate behind the shoulder so the recommended shot is behind the ear

  • Comment removed

  • Pigs have remarkably thick bone surrounding the head, hence why captive bolts etc aren't used..did you not have the capacity of thought to go for a heart shot..or do you just have a bad aim?

  • I think you mean should have died.. it was a 50 yrd shot.. had to go find him and finish with a second shot

  • wtf it had a seizure then hauled ass!!
