I lived in Cali from 1986 to 1995, and often had the feeling of impending doom. If the big quake did hit there, I think a lot of people would lapse directly into insanity, murder, mayhem and cannibalism. I think there are enough people there who are complete a-holes already, in all walks of life, to drive this. So, a big quake, no water, sewer or electricity, many buildings severely damaged, in 3 days the food runs out, then life begins to imitate art in a very nasty way.

Global Warming ppl claim that not enough radiation is being admitted into space bc of CO2 therefore is causing our "warming". There was a study done by Richard Lindzen of MIT for the last 20 years. He found that the levels of CO2 have in fact increased over the years HOWEVER, the amount of radiation that has been admitted into space has also increased. He actually found that the more CO2 was in the air, the more radiation was admitted into space. He said this whole global warming things a scam

i am not familiar with the entire debate and context but I could see some well founded arguments here. If you compare overseas wars, terrorists acts and attacks on the American Army, the actual effect on the american civilian population is far smaller than the degradation of the environment which affects all if us. How will it be in 20 years, no one knows but it could well indeed be a serious national security threat.
