  • I was born to this song

  • i know james burton but who are the other musicians?

  • elvis wana be

  • Great post Thanks..

  • beautiful eyelashes.

  • Great song and video...but why did he close his eyes every few seconds? :)

  • @HOHNancy ; The girls just about fainted each time he closed his eyes when singing, the reason I know this I'm old and I've been to one of his concerts!

  • I love this song!

Ricky is just great, too bad he bought a dodgy DC3.........

    Rock on in heaven Rick.

  • it was effertless therefore it was natural, for Ricky to Rock!

  • What a great video from the television series, Ricky Nelson will probably never get the credit he deserves, I believe his voice was one of the cleanest and purest in recording history, it is a real treasure to hear and see him again on this clip..thanks a million for posting, now the younger generation can experience REAL singing.....

  • Ricky Nelson is one of the greats!

  • Great video!!!!!! Great man!!!!!!!!!!

  • ricky was a natural

  • anyone puts this down shows their ignorance

  • Does anyone know who the name of the actress portraying Sally in this episode?

  • I see stuff like this and realize I was truly born about 25 years too late. The music's cooler, the women are prettier and you'd have a cool mom and dad who'd let you play that crazy rock 'n' roll in the house while enjoying a delicious piece of cake. LOL.

Seriously, I love stuff like this. Here's something to think about...50 years from now, stuff like this will still be getting played/loved. I won't finish that thought, but you probably know where I was heading with the rest... ;)

  • james burton rules!

  • R.I.P. - Ricky - you died too early - will ever think of you and your wonderful songs !

  • hope this won't be our last date

  • put it down, this is music history

  • what episode is this from? something w/ a bridge party?

  • @omarskats3000 Bridge is a card game...I know my grandpa used to play it often with a bunch of his friends lol! I was wondering the same thing on what episode this is. I was hoping I would've seen someone post it under the comments but I guess not. =/

  • @missohio83 yeah i wish i could see the episode.

  • Im only 14 and I love him!!!

  • That must be reaaaaally awkward singing in a room filled with girls.

  • Good song, but how are they playing on the staircase? Isn't that hard to do?

  • GREAT video by a legendary star! Please keep the rubbish they make today

  • Ricky---You were a true "heart trob". Singing so effortlessly. Miss you and thank you. Ozzie and Harriet were probably so proud.

  • I'll straighten out the punks

  • i listened to this in early 60's I was born 60

  • I had such a crush on him.

  • Ricky has the cutest lips. =)

  • Check out Duck!!

  • so dreaaammmy! Elvis had nothing on him.

  • this is good music! I careless about that RAPCRAP that's making money of young kid's who don't understand real music!

  • I'm betting he had a lot of action back then...look at him!

  • @englishpuzzle

Ricky Nelson got laid a LOT.

But I can't seem to see him whenever his adorable bass player is in the frame.

    Bwah ha ha.

  • @englishpuzzle u think u would have haad a chance? if u weren't rich, fat chance!

  • As a long time Elvis fan, I will always say that I think this guy may have been the only one that made Elvis nervous while away in Germany serving his country......killer looks, amazing voice, and that hair!!!!

Thanks for posting this great clip of a great period in American history.

  • @monarkman1957 I think Elvis and Ricky are both great. Like Elvis, Ricky was a big hit with the girls. I think if Buddy Holly stayed alive, he would have had a chance while Elvis was away

  • This music was great...The Nelson's TV show was also great to watch!

  • James Burton - king of the telecaster still wet behind the ears here.

  • @o:No doubt , JB was probably 19 years old on this 1959 clip, but he'd been full-pro since he was 16: Playing lead guitar on Dale Hawkins' "Suzie Q", recorded in 1956, (mistakenly listed on Wikipedia as recorded in 1957), a few months before his 17th birthday.

  • James Burton - on the left

  • I likes Ricky Nelson...he's beautiful!!!

  • any one know what rick sang firs to make him a star ?

  • Justin Bieber hahahahahahahahaha

  • супер просто нет слов

  • his DAd would not let him appear on other shows

  • Was that Carolyn Appleby?

  • Bello e bravo ::))

  • Wonder if Oz kept some leaf behind the freezer in the garage? Only a joke folks. My dad was

a study in unrequitted rage. He could have

    used some leaf back then.

  • wow, sally's hot!

  • Please look at 0:39!

    Isn´t that Ronald Reagan?

  • that is Ozzie and Harriet Nelson

  • Thank You!

  • @derwillider No, that is the parents, Ozzie and Harriet Nelson.

  • Ha Ha !

  • James work is always so tasty. He is the perfect compliment to Mr. Smooth Rick Nelson.

  • James Burton was a Mere Child..!

  • She talked over James Burtons guitar solo. That's just wrong...

  • Comment removed

  • Why do they always have dumb comments over world class guitar solos?!?!?

  • y does he have to be so hotttt!?!?!?!

  • GRACIAS.

  • His eyelashes went on forever. I think he was the only competition Elvis ever had.

  • Those of you who put down this video are probably the young punks today who think RAP is music. This is true music not the crap RAPers put out and call is music.

  • @pabock71 i listen to rap all the time and i enjoy this kind of music aswell. its stupid to associate newer music with punks just cuz they dont listen to the same kind of music u do

  • @pabock71 some 3 def lesbians gave it a dislike. dont generalize teenagers like that. we're not all the same you know.

  • @pabock71 i listened to an original 45 growing up,waas one of my favorites,I know good music

  • HELL , I would give anything to have James Burton playing in my front room!!!!

  • your right on-James Burton was great side man for many years. I saw him in Huntingon Bch Ca around 1980. He was so nice to all the fans that came to see him that night.

  • He is just to darn gorgeus<3

  • I've been in love with Ricky since I was three years old! What fun it is to watch his "videos" again! He left us with a wonderful legacy of music.

  • he reminds me of montgomery clift in his looks

  • It's still not too late to listen once again to Rick...evergreen hits. Keeps one young thru out. Rock on in Heaven, Rick! Thanks rznelson.

  • whos the fat idiot in all the ricky nelson videos who stares at him like he wants to ask him for bum luvvin?

  • im pretty sure that is his brother, i believe the old couple is his real parents. but plz feel free to correct me.

  • Yep, that is his brother, David. Ozzie is eating cake by Harriet.

  • Yes, that is his older brother, David Nelson, and Ozzy & Harriet were his actual parents.

  • Wow, James Burton at the guitar!

  • Ozzie eating the cake -- LOL!

  • What a hottie! I wish I was around in the 1960s It would have been nice to have gone out with Rick Nelson! WOW!

  • @Kateyhall

Delicious kissable lips and those dreamy bedroom eyes. RN was a complete package just to be unwrapped nice and slow.....yummy! Too bad he's no longer with us. I was a weekly fan of the Ozzie & Harriet Show and waited for the end when Ricky would sing.

  • @Kateyhall fat chance!

  • Love this song and all of ricky's songs. Ricky Nelson was a great talent that left us way too young. RIP Ricky. Thankyou rznelson for posting.
