This movie would have been P.E.R.F.E.C.T.I.O.N. if it wasn't for Kate Winslet... I hope you know that the only reason for why she got the role was because she was fucking Branagh at that time. . Like seriously, just compare her acting, with every other in the whole film. . absolutely retarded....

@o0MSA0o Hamlet was thirty years old, as revealed in Act V scene I during the graveyard scene. This explains partly why Hamlet was not considered king, and also gives backing to his capability to be crazy as well. Personally, Hamlet has so much more depth when portrayed this old.

And this is why Branagh's Hamlet surpasses all others. He has the experience, the knowledge and also love and respect for the source material. This is not just a film to him, unlike that abysmal version with Gibson., and he should be exceedingly proud of his achievement in making this film happen.
