  • Anyone else notice how people in northern ireland look like people in america?

  • That comment by Glen Barr has to be one of the most memorible i have ever heard. Many protestants found it provocative walking through their area.I have no words to describe that i really don't.40 years later and the Unionists are still marching through Nationalist areas but that appearently is their right.Hypocricy at its finest.

  • Britain have always had the power to stop these troubles. Instead they stoked the flames and caused these troubles. Going back to partition, they should have gave Ireland their independence but instead they split it up into catholic protestant and stirred up religous tensions.

  • Illegal march-end of story

  • @jeepster2 - OPPRESSION- END OF STORY

  • And what is said for all the wee orangemen marching through the bogside causing trouble? Nothin, just the Catholics causing trouble aye right.

  • One vote one man my arse, that wasn't even afforded to the lower class provos. Until people start to take account for themselves there will never be a solution for those that CHOOSE to be marginalised.

  • Hmm... I heard Catholics in Northern Ireland were prevented from enrolling in many schools, and that the few skilled Catholic were refused employment in the Civil Service. That sounds like discrimination to me, not self-marginalization.

  • Please... As a lapsed catholic, I have no motivation one way or another. But seriously, do you think that the Protestants got any better treatment by the Catholics in the southern Irish republic at the same time. It was by choice that the Catholics didn't intergrate with the whole community, rejecting the education benefits available because they were provided by the imperialists.

  • @HEATHSMYNAME Rejecting Education NO!.. History tells us that the Nationalists who came through the N.I. Secondary education system much better prepared than their Loyalist peers.. they iirnbraced same as their parents saw this as away for ther betterment for their children those 'Street Politicians, Michael Farrell,Austin Currie, John Hume, Bernedette Devlin,Eamonn McCann,... and the Burntollet Ambush marchers from 'Peoples Democracy' mainly young student came via the Free education system

  • Glen Barr - "the fact that they marched through loyalist areas was provocation" - what like every july when orangemen marched through nationalist/republican areas!

I bet you cry like a little slut when your marches are rerouted, and you scream for freedom of movement to march into catholic areas with your banners that celebrate the death and hardship of catholics!

Go suck on a lemon you hypocrit!

  • @oldfaithful07 go get yer wife tae suck ma lemons ya bead rattlin prick!!!! efter av ate bobby's dinner f.g.a.u.

  • @oldfaithful07 we put up wirh gerry and martin in government yet you have a problem with beautiful music and talented Bands Men marching the British Isles Thats BIGOTRY.

  • now come on the rev at 6.10 does he remind you of someone..... 1934 in germany.... came from nothing to a position of power... come on uk start using your heads ... the northern state is wrong wrong wrong ... either invade the south or leave the north ... one or the other

  • i think terence o neill was unfortunate he tried to reform a sick system from within but was held back by his own party

  • 2:27 protestants go through Catholic Areas on Orange Marches, an irevelvant point.

  • Glen Barr is a bigot. "the fact they were marching through loyalist areas" What about the orange marches EVERY summer.

  • the fact of stopping catholics marching in to loyalist areas what hipocrites , all the time hipocrites liars scum thugs really. britain cannot be trusted in northern ireland

  • You know I hope there is a God and that hes a vengeful one, so that when Paisley finally meets him, God will send him straight to Satan. Just imagine the smile on Gods face knowing that Satan will have to listen to big Ian for all eternity. What greater punishment could one possibly endure..hehe

  • poor satan having to put up with paisley

  • It will all come down to this: Human stupidity will always prevail, everywhere

  • "GIVE IRELAND TO THE IRISH"

  • ATQ Stewart is such a bigot

  • sad Irish people killing and hating each other over christianity.

  • It's not about Christanity my friend. It's about civil rights.

  • It's not about civil rights, it's about who rules the roost.

  • This is when the real face of republican sectarianism came to the fore front & honest civil rights people were unable to control them & their hatred of anything protestant.

  • it makes no sence, for a irish community, to carry a british flag...if you live in ireland, carry an irish flag...sounds like treason to me...

  • its more about religion than anything else

  • How can anyone criticise people for campaining to be treated equally and for basic Human rights that all people justly deserve! People should stop blaming and agree on the fact that we are all equal.

  • The orangemen are truly disgusting. They should be ashamed of what they have done in Northern Ireland. Very ashamed.

The reference to Kennedy is absolutely right. One can criticize the IRA as a terrorist group all one wants. But the RUC and the B-Specials were terrorists legalized by a cruel and failed government.

  • Well they sure as fuck aint freedom fighters! They were at one point but when u turn your gun on the innocent then u are a terrorist

  • This UPRG wanker is a complete pile of shit. Blame the Catholics for getting attacked by thugs. Sick. Sick. Sick.

And then to accuse the Catholics of assault when they were the ones who were attacked AND there was video evidence of what happened.

    Shameful.

  • " Those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable " John F Kennedy

  • Provocation when they marched through protestant areas???!!!!

Wonder have the Orange Order ever had this thought in similar circumstances.

  • Ah, the Dublin riots just recently held, I am glad someone brought it up.

  • dont see any loyalists blabbing on this one :p wonder why?

  • Well said

  • A take it you didn't get brick4sale's reply then?

  • excellent videos.

    thanks!
