Mick is a great overall guitar player. Monster tone, great riffs, great musicianship, I love his solos too and I like his vibrato, and I don't mean just the whammy. To me, he's as good as Ace and Billy Gibbons and Joe Perry, who are my favorites, along with Zakk Wylde and even Slash, Slash's no fool at all. What the heck, they're all good at their own thing!!!

mick mars is the most underrated guitarist in metal...i always thought that he wasnt that good cause most of crue's music sounds the same...but then i saw him live and wow was my mind changed he is a wicked guitarist!

The point is, if Slash is so great like people claim him to be, why the hell he didn't succeed when he left GNR?? He released two solo albums with Slash's Snakepit which weren't so great. He is only known for playing with GNR, outside GNR Slash is nothing

@CrueFestatSixxAM True,but Mick's main drug of choice was booze to numb the pain due to his fused bones in his spine and neck.Mick was older and more mature than the other band members and it's a miracle he's still even alive his disease Ankylosing Spondylitis used to be fatal and it's so bad he can't move his head from left to right,so no drivers license.Mick never did it for the money or fame it was his passion for the music,something that is sadly lacking in alot of todays music.

Mick is a great overall guitar player. Monster tone, great riffs, great musicianship, I love his solos too and I like his vibrato, and I don't mean just the whammy. To me, he's as good as Ace and Billy Gibbons and Joe Perry, who are my favorites, along with Zakk Wylde and even Slash, Slash's no fool at all. What the heck, they're all good at their own thing!!!
