  • Man i hope I can run into a monster like that this spring.

  • That is such backwood , inbred , horseshit . Eating bears ? Okay , I have heard of black bears but not grizzly bears . In Alaska , you could easily just hunt moose . Less dangerous and just as much meat if not more . And you would kill the bear with a bow ? You couldn't take down a brown bear with a bow if you tried .

  • @MrFloppywaffles Care to explain to the two grizzly bears and one coastal brown bear that died because of my arrows that? Yes, we take moose, bear, caribou, salmon and sometimes halibut to feed us through the winter. Grizzly hot links are a big hit around here.

  • @05RoushMarkLT Okay , I honestly am all for hunting for food . I figured that you were just hunting to have some tasty sausages to snack on while you have 200 tv dinners to eat . My cousin lives in a trailer in the wilderness and basically hunts to survive so I understand what you mean . I just can't stand hunting if it is not for necessary, responsible management or food .

  • I've ate one once as a child and yes it does taste like pork... But I'll never eat it again or allow it to be hunted with in my family or on my land. The sound of a bear screaming with pain is horrible and much like a person's.. Seen a Viet Namt Vet go back into PTSD after shooting one. Skin a bear it looks like a hanging person... according to recorded cannibals... we taste like pork too.

  • Bear hunter for life! Nice video man. Cant wait to get my black bear this year down in Washington...hmmmm bear roasts, breakfast sausage and summer sausage! Thanks for posting.

  • u guys suck dick, eating them, fucking dumbasses, u don't even need to eat them u just want to.

  • they taste like the fat from a nice steak . although they are on the greasy side.yes they are very good eating.

  • wow, he looks fat and healthy, ready for a nice long nap...

  • It`s strange how we feel about hunting and feeding on other carniverous creatures.....we sort of have a mutual taste of beef !

  • There gentle most of the time . You dont bother them they wont bother you . But they still are smart , territorial , quite curious and so cute . Thats why i stop hunting for 2 decades now .

  • I think he's cute haha =) big fluffy monster.

  • @multisquat most hunting is for the meat......... but some of us know when to stop killing unlike retards that get a bushmaster rifle and putting in a 35 round clip and turning it to full auto and blowing the animal to smithereens........

  • I will never understand why people hunt this kind of animals...

    Do they need the meat?

    Do the need the fur?

    Nothing!

Its all just stupid human way of passing the time so called sport...

  • Wow simple vid but a proper home grown banger aye. Really interesting to see the way they move. And you can see why people think they're cute chomp chomp chomp he he he.

  • i wana eat that bear

  • bet he'll snack you and your friends... hehe

  • Cool video! Thanks for posting it

  • wow thats big nice vid

  • You out of your mind????????

  • I woud get panic :/

  • Wow, nice looking bear. You were in the same kind of situation I was in. You were out hunting with no tag. Our plan A was to get a Grizzly bear tag and a Polar bear tag but there were no Grizzly tags avalible when we left town. We came up on our bear and scoped and filmed him for about 12-15 mins. You bear looks to be about 7-8 FT. Ours was just a 6.5 FTer. Next year we will go out fully prepared and film the actual harvest as well. Once again nice video !!!

  • Your so fake! I live up here in Alaska, and hunt Caribou,Moose,Dall sheep, and every so often Black Bear! No desire to hunt grizzly, or coastal brown bear, because they taste like shit, unlike an interior Black, wich tastes good! Hate to show you are fake but,9you can no longer hunt Polar Bears in Alaska! ONLY ALASKA NATIVES HAVE SUSSISTANCE RIGHTS and are the only ones that can hunt polar bear up here, and even that is limited! You wannabee! Keep dreaming of Alaska, i will get to see it daily!

  • he was looking at you like get out of here

  • Can you imagine the flack you would gei on here if you had actually shot him? Geez, the youtube warriors are after you just for taking the picture. I wonder why they come to sites that say "Bear Hunting" if they really are against it. Do you think its just to bitch and whine? Maybe thats all they're interested in. Great "shot" by the way.

  • Shows just how easy it is to shoot a bear. Like shooting cows in a field.

  • I completely agree, great observation. wow what a tough kill lmao go hunt a gad damn whitetail or something that isnt fucking endangered. leave the bears alone. theres not too many bears anyway, theres too many people encroaching on their land. im a man now, i killed a fucking bear that was eating dinner.

  • dang i thought someone was gonna drop that sucker.

  • That would have made your day huh? I was happy to see that magnificent animal live!

  • dbreivold! Guess what that structure is in the background?????????????? THE ALASKAN PIPELINE, that you lib, tree hugger environmental fucks keep saying is depleting our Caribou,Moose, pop up there! Guess what/ They are protected from hunting along the Alaska Pipeline corridor! Typical ignorant, all emotion clueless ass about Alaska, and how it is up here! Shit if I didn't tell you that was the pipeline, you would have had no idea! Chew on those "facts"! You have no idea how it is up here! Simple.

  • thats no even a big one...you can tell by how big the head is compared to the body...also the ears are large compared to its head and towards the top...a big bear will have the ears towards the back and side of the head.

  • Thank god you didnt have a "tag" why do you have to kill everything that moves?

  • Size * Gender and nutrition determines the size of brown bears. * Average weight of a male grizzly is 550 pounds (247 kg) and 350 pounds (157 kg) for females. * Brown bears of coastal Alaska may weigh over 1000 pounds (450 kg). * Typically 3 - 4 feet (91 - 122 cm) at the shoulder on all fours, and 6 - 7 feet (183 - 213 cm) tall when standing upright.

  • I dont know where you are from but in Canada male grizzle bears get well over 550 pounds and some can stand to 10 feet tall

  • Yes, there about 2,000 pounds.

  • 2000 lbs ? BULLSHIT. Kodiaks and Polars are both larger than grizzlies and they EXTREMELY RARELY approach 2000 lbs. This bear is 800 lbs max.

  • Bullshit to you too!

We just shot one and it was well over 1,000 pounds. The record was just shot by a 9 year old girl. it was well over 2,000 pounds. Maybe if u stopped looking at bears at the zoo and did some real damn hunting you would see something!

And I was talking about this bear. Get some hounds, you'll see.

  • Can you read and understand ? I was referring to this one ! Provide me with evidence of this 'well over 2000lbs bear...shot by a child'. IT IS EXTREMELY RARE FOR A BEAR TO EXCEED 2000 lbs.

  • They can and do. I didn't say this one. Or an average.

The info? I'm guessing you have never been to Alaska. Or at most once. Fly into Anchorage, There are newspapers on the wall and bear that is huge and a lot more pounds than 2,000. it is in front of B. King and by a t-shirt store. That's where the info came from.

  • Far from 'evidence'.....Now, your original comment was "Yes, there about 2,000 pounds". What were you replying to and exactly what does your comment refer to ?

  • @nordhorny

no dude it is not rare bears can esaily get to weigh 2000 pounds and stand as tall as 12 feet on two legs. This animasl are pretty damn huge you just have to know were to look

  • @paconaco38 RUBBISH

  • JESUS, you dont know WTF your talking about. 2K pounds. Idiot

  • I never realised the true size of them, that looks huge.

  • los casadores son unos mmgvos..matan a los animales y ademas ponen el tiro con arco como algo vil y salvaje! -.-"

  • where do you have to shoot if ya wanna instant kill?

    the eye?

  • lol if you can hit him in the eye with a bow at 50 yards go ahead, but i am not sure the correct place to stick him with a bow, with a rifle, u aim for the back of its head; upper neck

  • Glad you didnt shoot him. It's a majestic animal -

  • yea did you know the skull on a grizzly is so hard that bullets will riccochet off of it's head. i wouldnt shoot it in the head lol

  • All animals are majestic.

  • They are called grizzlys due to their location in Alaska, grizzly are in interior, brown bears are coastal Alaska, and kodiak are well on kodiak island....

  • I have Grizzlys were im from and thats kamloops BC (in canada) and thats kinda of close to the states

  • No man....getting walked on yould wreck his hide.

  • This bear is still youg, because got white fur on his back,a sign on immaturity.

  • That has nothing to do with age.....

  • your skeletal remains would looks just as good to when the grizzly gets ahold of your narrow ass

  • "he'd be on my wall" what a waste of a beautiful creature to be reduced to a material trophy on a wall... so my friends can see it and think I am cool

  • There's plenty of them to go around. These buggers taste good too. It's more than just the trophy on the wall, but I don't think you would ever understand.

  • Dont even attempt to educate a treehugger...there all the same.

  • @05RoushMarkLT Thanks for posting this video of a majestic creature going about its business. I am not totally against trophy hunting either in prudent moderation.Let's face it how many people really could afford an Alaska brown bear hunt (non-residents requiring the services of a guide), especially in this economy. However I never heard anyone claim that brown bears are tasty, we're not talking elk, sheep or caribou here..

  • @05RoushMarkLT Seriosly? They taste good? What's it taste like?

  • @oldagetraveler I am serious, these inland grizzlies are actually very good eating. The meat has a slight sweet flavor, but isn't gamey or fishy at all. We turn all the scraps into hot links and sausage, and the large cuts get turned into roasts and steaks.

  • @05RoushMarkLT Thats the way to do it :)

    i am hungry now.

  • @05RoushMarkLT eating bear? thats pretty badass i should say considering their the largest land predator. bears eat people, people eat bears

  • @05RoushMarkLT Plenty of them to go around ? Actually , they are a threatened species . Actually , since a female brown bear can produce more than 10 cubs in her lifetime ( if she lives to be over 20 which is common ) and that means that killing one female bear means killing ten . So no , there are not plenty to go around .

  • @MrFloppywaffles Get educated. There are no shortage of brown and grizzly bears in Alaska, and in some areas there are too many.

  • Awesome, the (almost) greatest predator roaming the earth. Ever go after those without carrying a back up gun?

  • Yea, I video taped this guy with no back up, and I shot one with a bow in May of '07 without a backup. Helps get the adrenaline flowing knowing that you are more on their level when you are hunting them.

  • Cuz of their enormous strength and quickness I wouldn't exactly consider it cowardly to ALWAYS carry a firearm when being around bears....

    Take care and good hunting!

  • for Pete's sake, why cant you just watch them an not hunt them. I am not having a go don't want to cause a stir. But seriously can we not just appreciate their beauty without killing them. Fucking angers me.

  • @ferkel01

What do you mean Back up gun ?

When one of these bears comes at you its no time to throw don't the rifle and start bang away with the Rabbit gun or home protection gun !

You use a big Rifle starting with 338's on up to 416's and 458's on these Bears that gets the job done the first time !

Only big city Knuckle heads think of carrying hand guns for using on Alaskan bears .

  • @Moldovawineimporter you don't need tha big of a caliber.i know people up here who take em with .223

  • He is a lucky one. The area is a drawing permit and I didn't have a tag, otherwise he'd be on my wall.

  • Cute bear, I am glad he is not hurt.
