@JamesBerkey Yes and no. The Fraser River has specific or total salmon fishing closures in September due to the endangered Interior coho salmon run happening at that time. Pink salmon will most likely be open for fishing this year, and it should be good. September can be good for bar fishing if it is open for chinook salmon. If not, even October can be excellent, for both chinook and chum salmon.
@fishingwithrod I'm not picky of what i fish. It will be my first time and I just want to get out there. Looking for sockeye but i hear all the numbers are down for fish this year. Do you think it will be a good run (in general) obviously not like last year though
@JamesBerkey If species is not an issue, then you should have no problem finding lots of pink salmon this year. Sockeye salmon, we'll know how big the run is when they arrive.
is fishing in September alright? I don't get back to Abbotsford till then
