afghan poeple wake up it's time to shake your self a wake and think about your children's future and educate your children like Malalai Joya and Dr Ramazan Bashardost don't tolerant so called mujahidin or taliban act on it and look forward make your future live bright and freedom Allah blase afghanistan and afghan poeple and make them bright minded Ya Allah.
such charisma! she can bring light to any sort of darkness, respect to her from Rasul! (Sydney), I would die for this woman! .. I bought a book of hers, read it, it's "A woman among war lords". There's so much to learn from that book. Not to mention she's one of the most attractive women in the world, have you guys noticed that? True hero to idolize no matter who you are!
What she says about the people placed in power, or allowed to maintain their power in Afghanistan is correct. It was viewed that having lesser of the two evil left in power would leave some stability in the country. That is, the taliban were replaced with warlords. Also, I wholeheartedly believe that she was not viewed as that big of a threat because of her age and gender. So you have a parliament of criminals balanced with few democrats. this is what she calls showcase. Very transparent.

I can't understand her, she says the elections and everything is merely false and are puppets. But in the end she got elected?
Maybe she just phantasizes that all Afghanis are so democratic and freedomloving. After all those people have a yearlong education in freedom-hating and unliberal education. Minds don't change over night so easy.
I admire her courage and her engagement. Although I completely disagree with her views about the Allied occupation, that after all is still there to promote security and freedom. I can understand if Afghanis are still unhappy that the progress is slow, but at least it exists and it is being made, thanks to the efforts of the Allied troops - despite of corruption and warlords still being in power.

I just finish watching this woman on Canadian television. I've never heard about her before, but I admire her courage. I am definitely going to the library to find her book. I want to know more about her ideals and struggles. I have never heard a strong Afghan woman speak before. But now she has my attention and I am listening.
The weird things people here is , she is running a campaign for AMERICA TO GET OUT OF HER COUNTRY ,,and she,s been attacked by none other then TALIBAN . RING A BELL ,,,,TALIBAN IS JUST AN ALIBI FOR THE US .
@zamanrm and yeh she is a tajik, have you ever seen a pashton peace fighter???? no.. Hazaras and tajiks truely love and die for Afghnistan and westren consider the pashtons as taliban.
true, she started off pretty good, she was independent, but now she works for Rawa, and trying to get fame internationally that she has forgotten what her real duty was. She was elected as a MP from Farah province, instead of representing the people of Farah, she started aruging and fighting with people for no reason.
I respected her when she stood against warlords, but not the way she did it.. its not appropriate that in a parliament she started cursing people.
exactly,,, now they are putting her in headlines and shit.. and she has started her campaign against the Hijab .. she calls it the nasty burqa.. she has become a US representative now.. her words dont make any sense now
You realize the CIA has been funding the Taliban to protect U.S. Supply lines and now the end may be near if the Taliban accepts the U.S bribe... which I dont think they will because that will be victory for them.
Then you look at the opium fields, corruption in the afghan gov't - Karzai's bro. Is that the bullshit your talking about?
We arent going to change a culture overnight. No control outside the city... next wars Iran/Yemen/Pakistan.
@ezze902 No Mister, Taliban were created by pakistan to get funds from the US, and its clear, because their economy was collapsing.
They started brain washing these young kids, when the taliban were defeated in afghanistan, the government of paki couldnt control the taliban anymore, because now the taliban had already made allies with al qayeda etc.
i want the foreign troops out of afg, which they will in 2011, and we have an army now thanks to them, and taliban out too. PEACE FOR AFGHANLAND
I am really proud of you Joya
