The correct way to skimboard is to run with the skimboard drop it then taken like two steps then get on. Do not throw it in front of you then run after it. That wastes energy. The way to get onto it the correct way is to run onto it. Do not just hop on. That slows you down a lot. The way to get on is one step at a time. Front foot then back foot or back then front.
