I belive in every band, there is the "Curse of the Trombone" Where the Director cuts off right before the Bones come in... I'm the power house of the section and I don't always pay attention when the Director cuts off, so I come in anyway... and it's big.

how come it is that if you play a trombone youre assumed to be the weirdest person in the band and stuff like that.... i mean yeah i AM  the weirdest person but its just odd... and ilove how you can just lay your head on your instrument and fall asleep...

What I'm trying to say trombone players (and I've been one for many years) tend to be a little different, but in a pleasent way. I think you have to a little nuts to decide to take up an instrument that's as difficult to play as the trombone, yet all the t-bone players I've ever met

Is your trombone a tenor trombone with single open loop rotory valve F attachment? Possibly a .525 bore?

I don't know the exact measurement of the bell bore, but it is an open wrap tenor trombone with a F attachment. It's an older canadian brass.

Ah... the things we trombones have to deal with. I mean, how are we supposed to entertain ourselves while the director attempts to make those miserable woodwinds play a freaking B-flat scale... Yeah, we do mess up quite a lot. I like to think we've gotten better though. By concert time we can pull it together. I think it is because metally we are in our own worlds so it takes the bright lights and nice clothes to make us realize we need to play at our best now. But we've gotten a bit better now that there is no more camera.
