  • The basic thing here is not seeing the difference between fundamentalists and moderists.

That mosk simply doesnt have anything to do with 9/11. I think its a shame all this commotion started around this issue. America could have been proud of that mosk, as a symbol of religious freedom versus the terrors of Al Qaida.

Of course, the emotional arguments of the effected American family's, do have importance too.

  • The problem with your "logic" is that the Westboro group has a dozen or so members and they have killed no-one, whereas (a) the violence committed by muslims has been going on for 1300 years and (b) at least 10% of muslims actively support jihad against non-muslims, thats 100 MILLION who admit they support jihad; go to site thereligionof peace to see that 17 THOUSAND have been killed by islam since 9/11. PS - you're a useful infidel w all your fake logic / whining about "fox news".

  • @jpeditor Yeah man, keep parroting the Koch Brothers Islamophobic bullshit you hear on corporate news. Christians have murdered people en masse historically as well. Ander Behring Breivik committed the largest mass shooting in Norweigian history as an anti-muslim, pro-Christian sentiment, witches in Salem were brutally tortured and murdered by Christians, etc. And did you know that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, waged by the US, have killed almost a million people? How's that for peace?

  • This man is really educated. I wish if people stop harrasing Muslims and just leave them pray alone in their mosques. When people stop being so racist about religions, the world will be safe. peace to all

  • Shalom, I think the only people with any place to bitch about religious oppression are the Native Americans.

we worry about your holocaust from 65 years ago and you are ignoring the Natives which I think is just plain rude.

sorry, what happened to your people was vile but let's not ignore everyone who has been oppressed.

  • Well said Sir.

I can imagine a Fox News stall near Ground Zero, handing out free pitchforks, and burning straw torches to gullible angry Americans.

Nice HD camera by the way.

  • I'm more interested in who is building it and why. Because it's been used as overflow seems to be a convenient excuse.

  • good video bro, keep it up

alot of ignorant fools outhere that have to stop watching fox news and watch your channel more

  • Watch this video and consider what is said about Bloomberg and this guy who wants a so-called "Muslim Center" watch?v=oJQ4bwGPRuk

  • you make some valid points! especially by not judging all Christians based on a few. There are some terrorist Muslims out there in the world just as there are also terrorists from other groups. Faith or non faith isn't necessarily a factor in most terrorism. though from what I've seen on the news about Islam, I don't like how the Islamic religion treats women.

  • Hi.. u have made valid points here. i m frm india and we have similar issues abt muslims here, i wud like to say something abt this..

    1. why religious freedom is something ONLY USA shud follow? Isnt it Global Human right>? shud not Saudi do same for the sake of mankind? Shud not we make more videos abt extremists muslims than abt a mosque opposition by mostly liberal americans?

    2. Yes, its Saudi, its their rules there. But does this help stopping extremists coming to USA ?

  • 3.How do u know most Muslims are "moderate"? I may sound like right extremist, but come to india and see that most mosques during Islamic rule of India were built as "victory signs" and on top of temples.

I agree that it would be wrong not to allow the mosque there, but building it would also be "morally wrong" for Muslims. something that most of them wont understand.

The crux is that all the religious freedom and human rights is going one way and the Islamic nations dont follow it.

  • 4. Do u think if Americans oppose this mosque, it will damage its own image?

I dont think so. Because America always stood for freedom since it was made. Didn't muslims have same freedom before 9/11 and till now?

Given this freedom they still attacked you and still doing so. Also u have the "home grown terrorists".. ( didnt u gave them same rights as u, or they just didnt give a f*** to your values??)

Do u think they really care about freedom and human rights or "image of America"?

  • 5. The Cordoba initiative is the organisation which is behind this mosque.

"Cordoba" is in spain. Muslims conquered span and they turned the Cathedral of the city into a Mosque. "the great mosque of Cordoba". Wikipedia

About "handful extremists".. just exactly how much % of extremists makes a religion bad? How do u know they are just "handful".. I can also say that u are "generalizing" by saying in between "all or none"

My point is Islam has "enough" number of extremists to bother us all

  • @sap58v You've made entirely too many arguments for me to respond to them all. I completely oppose your idea of stripping the rights of Muslims in response to 9/11 - if we can't defend the rights of those who are most hated, then soon our own rights will be stripped. Their mosque is not a god damn trophy mosque, as I explained in the video, because there is already a mosque 2 blocks away.

You're a xenophobe, you're asking us to deny Muslims the rights we all enjoy. That must not happen.

  • @huxtiblejones I am not a xenophobe. Muslims are living in my country India since 1000 years. And i DO have some of them as friends. But this is not about "having good muslims friends" or "most muslims are tolerant".

This is abt "extremists" in them. They are NOT insignificant. There are enough of them to bother all. Even the most moderate will call u as "reverted" to Islam not converted!! why? because they think rest all religions are rubbish.. and they r only true.. My opposition is to them..

  • @sap58v All the Abrahamic religions believe the arrogant idea that their way is the right way. You're buying into a pack of lies manufactured by the extreme right of the west, while there is a cultural and religious aversion to all things Western, it's hardly reasonable to accuse all Muslims of being guilty because of some extremists. It's a religion, it's like a club, it's not a god damn biological family. Anyone can become a Muslim.

The NYC mosque debate has very totalitarian undertones.

  • Excellent video dude. I agree with you. I still don't understand why religion has such a power over people's minds, but I will not judge people based on their religious affiliation. I'm not perfect either nor will I ever be. Being atheist is the most rewarding feeling I've ever felt in my life.

  • The comparison to "Churches at Mecca" was amazing. All the respect I had left for Thunderf00t being a rational person disappeared.

  • I don't know if this Muslim center is a "trophy" or not but then who can really say? To assume that ALL people who agree that this is offensive are against ALL Muslims is no less generalizing! Who cares about a mosque that's there already...it's the principle of doing it NOW and WHERE they want it. And it's not actually a mosque anyway, it's a Muslim center but for them to go ahead with this regardless of the offensive of it shows they have no concern about their religion's reputation.

  • @julzabro Their religion's reputation is not determined by the actions of a handful of extremists. It just shows the common non-muslim's concerning stereotypes and hatred for a group that doesn't deserve it. All religions are asinine, all religions make ludicrous claims, but once folks start making broad generalizations, you've crossed a thin line and are now making crass, cultural judgments that make you look ignorant.

Are all American soldiers guilty of what happened in Abu Ghraib?

  • @huxtiblejones I agree with you that all religions are asinine which, btw, IS also a generalization. Relgions, Islam included, have to be accountable just like any business for what they produce. If they aren't churning out happy, spiritual folks and there's proof that their product is contaminated/toxic then they need to either fix the problem or, at least , accept that people won't want their product. A "handful of extremists"?

  • @julzabro Yes, a handful of people who are willing to violently attack a nation. How many Muslims actively participate in the fight against America? Few, if any. Should we hold every Jew accountable for the crimes of Israel? Should we punish all Christians for being associated with the KKK? No, these are asinine ideas that are direct parallels to this mosque debate. Limiting the freedom of Muslims is a threat to all of our freedom. You cannot strip the rights of any group, it's a bad precedent.

  • @huxtiblejones Who said anything about stripping the rights from any group? Thats' what I find scariest about this whole discussion. If Americans are offended about something and speak out about it, they are tyrannical, racist and asinine. ALL they're saying is they don't want a "Muslim center" THERE! Is it so hard to understand the feelings about that?

  • @julzabro That is stripping rights. You have the right to build any church anywhere in the country for any reason. Telling Muslims their church is not allowed because of it's arbitrarily related to the religion of extremist hijackers is 100% stripping rights.

It is tyranny. It is most definitely borderline racist because every single Muslim (read: Arab) is being equated to 9/11 terrorists.

  • @huxtiblejones Hey whats in that enclosure to your right?

  • @MrPitseleh My girlfriend's bearded dragon, Esteban
