I got stuck under a wreck and had to doff my BC while breathing from my reg still (like in the video) however as Zeagle's trusty inflators always seem to get stuck, I was just lucky enough to hit the inflator whilst trying to un-wedge my setup and have it get stuck as soon as I'd freed it only to balloon my BC and rip my reg out of my mouth.. thankfully, my buddy was in the "right now" and quickly handed me his octo. coulda been REALLY bad.
Has nothing to do with weights and in this case that was a good thing, since it gave him the negative boyancy he needed to stick to the floor while redoing his equipment. In diving everyting is about staying calm, whatever hapens. Panic is fatal! Very well done by this guy, obviously a very experienced and well trained diver!
@teelsing obviously a very experienced and well trained diver will never dive with all that weight!!!! this kind of stupid things are done by beginners. and its already enough simple to have acciedent underwater, lets at least avoid stupidity
@momabooi He definitely isn't stupid, he's risky! But I do agree that he's not very experienced. The more you dive, the less weight you need. When I started my diving career (it was on black sea resort in Russia) I needed 10 kilos but just after a week (6-10 dives per day) I needed only 8 kilos, but after a month till the end of season 4 was enough for me with 2 grownups under my supervision and 3 when I was guiding certified divers or when we had a fun dive.
@CORYJOHNM My first open water dive right after pool training was in a shallow lake with visibility not more then 3 feet. And in such conditions our instructor managed to show us examples of exercises and to take exams. I admire my first instructor! Now I'm a divemaster, hope, a skillful one ;) experienced - for sure!
Very well done.

what if you put a lot of weights on and jumped in a 7 feet pool without breathing gear?
Carmenyoohoo 3 months ago
@Carmenyoohoo you'll stick to the ground and die if you do not release the weight belt

@momabooi no you wont, as proven here.

@jenacbxx he might not be stupid, the number of weights depends on how heavy a weight is, the water density, and your weight.
maybe the weight is 1 kg? maybe that guy is extremely light? maybe the water is very dense? you will nid alot of weights for these situation

@lisikunique my first dive was in Pulau hantu, singapore's famous diving site.
it wasn't too bad, i got my certificate when i was 14 :)
although i was forced to do the buoyant emergency ascent
and almost died because i came up too fast due to a faulty BCD
momabooi 1 week ago
@jenacbxx 6 x 1kg blocks... granted that id stow them in the BC if i ever used one but there's nothing wrong with that.

I want to dive. Like how he didn't panic like these other vids. I'll have to stick with snorkeling in the lake where visibility is six feet.
